Langkawi : 3 days of rain and shine

Our last trip to Langkawi wasn't relly well planned. Heck I've got 1 day notice to prepare! Apa lagi. Kelam kabut! Flight tickets + Hotel + Packing in 1 day! Luckily I've made Hariz's food in advance just to keep stocks in the fridge. Will make an entry on travelling with baby later ya. :)

Anyway, we took Fireflyz at 8.30am. Meaning we have to be there at 7.30am. I woke up at 5.00am, get myself ready while Hariz is still asleep.I have prepared all the stuff the night before to avoid any barang tertinggal. We took a cab instead of driving to the Penang Airport because we were hesistant to leave the car at the airport for 3 days.

We didn't get to change Hariz so Hariz naik plane with his pyjama :) Dengan tak mandi nyer. Sejuk. Kesian dia. but Hariz has always been such a sport.

We reached Langkawi at around 9.05am. Rasa macam sekejap je naik flight. Less than 30mins. Since we were too early to check in to the hotel, we decided to go around Kuah Town. Do some shopping and eat. We rent a Latio for RM240 for 3 days. I'd say it's cheap!

One thing Langkawi is lacking : Baby room! I was having a hard time finding a place to change Hariz's diaper. Then I saw this massage chair at the Langkawi Fair. Jadi la.. 

We didn't bring his stroller by the way. Because of too many stuff to carry. So we bring just the carrier. Plus Hariz enjoy it more than being in the stroller :)

Langkawi's famous item must buy :

Pinggan mangkuk Corelle {which I bought 2 sets of dining sets and 1 corningware :P}

Chocolates! 

We checked in our hotel at around 2pm. We stayed at Asenia which cost RM150 for superior room. We thought of upgrading it to Deluxe tapi the room is big enough so we settled with superior saje.

The Cenang beach was 10 minutes walking distance from our hotel.This will be Hariz first time to the beach. Dia macam takot sket when he saw the waves and macam geli-geli when his feets and hands touches the  sands.

 I didn't get the chance to buy sunblock for Hariz. Luckily he didn't get sunburn at all!

That night, we went for a dinner at Rasa Restaurant. This will be our 2nd time having lobster here.We love the environment and the food were nyummmyy!!!

Nasib baik baik Hariz well behave that night. Dapat la mama enjoy the dinner :)

We spent most of our time in the hotel room because Wan ade appointment from morning till noon. I was planning to take Hariz for a dip in the pool tapi it's been raining cats and dogs outside, so main dalam bilik je la.

We took a 6.30pm flight on Tuesday and reached Penang close to 8pm. I didn't really enjoy the trip because we didn't really go anywhere apart from beli pinggan mangkuk :P

I guess that's it on our trip. Our 1st time travelling with Hariz tho. Lepas ni mama wil be well prepared :)

Hi guyss!!!! I'm bacckk!!!!

Goshh... I've got so many things to share from my trip.Because this is the 1st time we travel with a baby.

It was nerve wrecking mind you.Tapi alhamdulillah, everything went well.

Will blog about it tonight. Can't waitt!!

1st time travelling with a baby

Just got a call from Wan that he needs to go to Langkawi  for a meeting (and of course we have to tag along la). The 1st thing came to my  mind was "Hariz macam mana nanti?". This will be Hariz 1st trip besides from Penang - Alor Setar back and forth. 

Last time we went to Langkawi was 2008  I think.

We book flight tickets via FireFlyz (because Airasia was fully booked!). This will be Hariz's 1st flying experience jugak. I don't know what to expect here. Will he be okay flying? Will he whimper and throw tantrum? Will he be comfortable? How to pack his food and stuff? His luggage must be bigger than mine that's for sure.

Okay, put aside Hariz's matter for awhile. Mummy nak shopping!!! Wuhuuu!! Remember this entry? Now I nak beli semua!!! hehehehee . 

oh.. now i remember la.. I naik flight. Mana mungkin mahu bawa all the pinggan mangkuk naik flight???!!! Deeemmmmm......boleh ke?

Gotta look for the hotels pulak. Such a short notice la Wan ni.

Appreciate everyone suggestions on this. I think service apartment will be better especially for babies kan?What do you guys think?

Animal shape chocolate gone bad?

My fellow colleague went to Langkawi last week for a trip and bought us yang tak pegi ni chocolate. I love chocolates! especially yang free ni :P

So I looked at the box and it says 'Animal shape chocolate'. Hehehe.. selalunyer bentuk shell kan. Ni animal pulak. Takpela.. janji cokelat. Belasaahhhh.

But to my surprise when I open up the box, I hardly see any animal shape in it. Mana gambar ayam and monyet macam dekat box? This is what I see...

Cry-it-out method : Night 3

We did it again last night and below is the summary for the night :

Night 3 : 8.30pm, feed Hariz with mashed potato for dinner. Usually he will get sleepy and yawn few times while we feed him and gosok-gosok mata. but only at 9.30pm I carry him to our room and bf him before put him to sleep in his cot. At 10pm, he wakes up and cries for 10minutes and stop. I went up to check on him and he was fast asleep. I went back downstair and he cries again at 10.15pm. It was brief. Tak sampai 1 minute he stops. I went to check on him again. He's  asleep. I think it went on for 2-3 cries until he finally settled. I was so overjoyed that this method really works! I should have done it sooner! :P

I think he did wake up again around 2 or 3am but he settled himself down in less than 20 seconds. Of course everytime he cries and went back to sleep, I will go and check on him to make sure he is ok. 

Finally he wakes up at 5am and I pick him up and nurse him. Kesian sayang mama lapar kot. 8 hours of sleep mesti dia lapar kan? (that's what I thought). He bf for 10 minutes and went back to sleep and wakes up at 7.30am. 

I must say I never feel so fresh and energized when I wake up. I know this method may sound cruel to your baby but mummy needs a good rest so I could work , be healthy to care for my family and keep my insanity :)

Further to Hariz's sleeping pattern - Cry-it out method

Last night was the 2nd night Hariz slept through the night without waking up for feeding! That's a record! FYI, Hariz's sleeping pattern has been very predictable. Ever since he was 2 month old, his sleeping pattern was waking up for every 2 hours to feed. I kept telling myself that he will sleep on his own without waking up in the middle of the night eventually but he's 6 month and half now. He should be sleeping through the night! 

Anyways, I stumbled upon a blog of a mummy who did Cry-it-out method with her baby. Even though I've googled about this before but I dare not try it yet because I haven't really see or read real people doing it with their baby and works. Hats off to Mummylicious for doing the method and for the 1st time I feel like I had the strength to do it.

We started this method 2 nights ago on Sunday night (supposedly Saturday night but failed. I ended up picking Hariz up :P). A bit of the summary of what we did :

Night 1 (sunday) : At around 9.30pm Hariz fell asleep after I fed him. Slowly move him to his crib.Then I went downstair to watch tv and turn on the baby monitor. At 11pm, he woke up and cry. I didn't quickly go to him  like I always did. So me and Wan just hear him cries. 1st cry was more like whimpering. after 5 minutes, he started to slow down. Then he stops for 2 second and cry again. This time more like calling for me. No more whimper. It's been going on for 15mins. So Wan went to check him up because he will cry even worse if it's me. After while, about 11.30pm, he was wide awake. So I bf him again until 12pm. Finally he sleeps until 5am. He wakes up and I feed him again because this time might be he is hungry. He went back to sleep at 5.20 and wakes up at 730am.

Night 2 (monday) : He sleeps at 9.30 pm after feeding. (i fed him mashed potato earlier every night and bf him before put him to bed). I went downstair and switch on baby monitor again. He didn't wake up until 12pm when me and Wan are already in the room. He cries for 5 minutes and went back to sleep. me and wan was like 'yesss!!!!' He did wake up at 2am but I just stay on my bed and wait. Then he stops crying after 30 seconds. and wake up at 5am. again 8 hours of sleep might leave him hungry so I bf him and he go back to sleep and wakes up at 7am. 

We're gonna to this again tonight. We'll see how it goes. It wasn't easy at first but once I had done it, I couldn't stop halfway. I think Hariz has already picked up the sleep pattern. His timing on crying became shorter after 2 nights. I just can't wait for tonight :)

Weekend project - Cleaning up my closet

This project was long overdue because of orang yang nak pasang wardrobe yang sangat lambat. Took them almost 3 weeks just to complete! The work was ok. Nothing to shout. It's just a simple wardrobe with few spaces for his and hers. I've been wanting a walk-in wardrobe since forever! no only I managed to have one :)

So I started to hang all my clothes accordingly and I just realized I have so many purple tops! ;P Bila dah susun macam ni, baru I can see all my clothes. Kalau tak, asyik rasa macam tak cukup :P

My scarves collection is still haven't found it's home yet. Terlalu banyak! Tak sempat nak kemas lagi. Maybe another week. I have to do this ONLY when Hariz is behaving well and can play on his own. That's why it took me 2 days just to do this. Haih.

Visit Bali - 1st Chapter

I went to Bali 2 times on the year 2008 itself. Not to brag but the 1st visit was unintentionally. (boleh ke?) You see, Wan and I booked/bought our honeymoon ticket like even before we were engaged. We bought 8 months in advance and got a really good price. So wether we did or did not get married, we still have to go to Bali la :P

Anyways, we bought the ticks like on January (trip in August) and I never thought that my annual company trip will be Bali too which was in May! I was torn between going  honeymoon with Wan and the company trip which is compulsary.  I shouldn't have gone because the honeymoon will not be that much exciting dah. Well that's what I thought :)

Tapi lepas tu, I never regretted going to Bali on May (company trip) because I managed to plan our honeymoon well. Like where we should go, where to eat etc.

Anyways, I will make this entry in 2. 1st with the company and 2nd on my honeymoon :)

Casual Friday

That is why I've been having trouble finding the right shoes for me. Ending up wearing crocs (the most comfortable shoes a man can make :P)

Don't wake me or i'll wake you..

Inilah anak bujang saye. Since last month, dia suka tido from 6am to 8am. Will give us sometime to get ready before to work. Don't you just love watching baby's sleeping? so serene... :)

Then he wakes up, bagi dia main-main with his playland. Suka dia ehhh.. Uhh I just bought that jumpsuit. 3 pc set. Veryy the cheap onee....I bought size 6-9month tapi skali dah cukup-cukup pulak size dia.Confirm lagi 1 month dah tak muat. huhuhuu..

Uh sapa yang ade baby yang takde this play mat angkat tangan?? heheh.. I think every parents will definitely have this for their child kan? It's fun and part of the learning tools...

After thousands of parcel I've received, only now I feel like blogging about it. (weird?) i know!

I just bought this dress online YESTERDAY and the parcel arrived today! How fast is that??

I never bought from this blog shop before.  I happened to saw something I liked in their blog and quickly make my purchased before anyone else got it :P

UUuuuu I love floral motives. and this dress fits me nicely with stretchable material and removable sash.

Luckily I can just stuff this dress in my bag and pretend I've had it for quite sometimes (in case Wan ask) :P

Udah-udah ler Ida oi shopping online.. huhuhu.. I just can't help it! Everyday it's like a habit to click on the review blogs and to find new stuff. Iskk... (mode insaf kejap)

Hariz and school

So this is where I've been sending Hariz for the past 1 month. This nursery / daycare called Graduan Kecil. They have a few branches here in Seberang Jaya area. Having Hariz sent here at the beginning of March, I'd say I'm quite pleased by the way the took care of my little one. 

Hariz membesar dengan baik and happy je everytime I picked him up from his nursery.  and he everyday, I will find him learn new things from the nursery. Oohh.. sayang sangat that I missed a lot of his '1st time'.

hehehe.. Hariz sangat gembira when I came to pick him up. Dia sengih sampai nampak gusi :P

 Suka dier tengok all the colours tu.. Kira i send him all day from 9-6 la jugak. I can say that most of his baby's age was spent at the nursery. huhuhuhu

Hariz like to go to school kan Hariz.... Saaayaannggg diaaaa... Muaxxx!!!
