It started with this mail...

This just came in my mail today.
I don't remember signing up  anything from GUESS? because I hardly shop there! It's not that I don't fancy what they sell it's just, too Paris-hilton I guess. and them jeans, wooo.. the length of the jeans is like 2 meter high!

Now getting this email, maybe it's a sign that I need to buy a new watch? no?
Well I've got a few in my collection. One is almost 12 years of age. That's right. That's the only chain watch I ever had and it is still in a good shape. Change battery a couple of times but nothing major.

I used to be a watch collector before from Mickey Mouse to Garfield (yeah remember that? It was a hit!) and baby G (which I still have in my keep for almost 10 years too) and Swatch. You know those days Swatch was such a popular watch. The fancier it is , the popular you get. :P Do you think they will cost few thousands now? Because they are antique! :P

Do you think it's an investment buying a lot of watch? Like they keep saying buying designer handbag that cost thousands is an investment. How? Does it mean that after few decades the price of the bag will multiply? Like that baseball cards? Maybe I should get one of those designer bag eh? (Wan will fall off his chair if he reads this :P)

A day at the pool

Just so you know that I'm still alive and kicking :P
Sorry for the long silence. Workload is just.. a lot.

Anyway, last weekend , we went back to alor setar , our precious hometown. fyi, both me and wan are from as but we met in Penang :P So we decided to take Hariz for a dip in the pool for the 1st time. Well, give the float a go. We bought it during our last trip to Langkawi which was decades ago and now we got the chance, well I mean, Hariz got the chance to use it.

Luckily my sis's place got a pool so we don't have to go to the public ones where all the pools were no-so-clean.

Hariz as usual loves being in the water. He kept splashing the water here and there.

Ummm... nyummm... the water is goodddd...slurrpppp!

wooo look! an austronout!

(yeah that's my baby sis. don't ask.)

This is my niece. She's afraid of Hariz. So get ready with her pump gun if he gets closer.

and later, we requested my mom to cook grilled prawn. *drool

The best thing about being the later baby in the family, you get tonnes of toys!! for free!!! :P

That's all for today!

Have a nice day!!

This just bring good old memories.. :)

I know I should be updating this blog with tonnes of photos and stories but my work just piling up and I just can't pull myself out of it. Datelines and more datelines. My free time, I just want to be with Hariz and wan :)

Anyway, I was doing my thing with this acad n sketchup and suddenly I have this sound kept playing in my head and I started to hum but I just can't quite get it until I played this...

 {This I Promise You - NSYNC}

This is the sound that has been in/on my head. Oh how I miss them. (I used to have this love/hate relationship with JT and still does ) :)

Classic Template for blogger

Good afternoon guys!
Just finish off my lunch and feel like updating my blog but not sure what to write :P
So what to do when you have nothing to write but want to keep your blog update?
Make a tutorial lah :D

So today, I just want to make a tutorial on how to turn your blog template into simple classic template (a.k.a. minima template).

Lately, blogspot has been upgraded and they have added new features like blogger template designer where you can choose any design template provided with its pretty background

So why do I want to change this? The template is pretty much how I like right?
Well sometimes, you just want to tweak the blog a bit, change the background to you liking anytime you want. You can get massive collections of gorgeous background from the web. My favourite of all time is Shabby.

So when you want to have your own choice of background, you need a plain background so your new background won't intertwined with your template. Just like a piece of paper. If you want to start your sketch, you need a blank paper right? :)

Ok. So blogspot used to have this feature where changing the template to minima the easiest way. However, with the new feature, it's been, well, lost. :P

To make your template back to simple minima, classic, go to dashboard > design tab > edit html
scroll down until the bottom and you will find 'old templates'. click on the 'select layout template'.

for minima template, tick on the 1st template > minima
and you're done! :)

now you can go and look for those gorgeous background you've been eyeing for for your blog and start making up your blog  :)

Good luck!

Is he for real?

Yesterday, I went out for lunch with wan out of our daily basis. So wan chose to had lunch at the New World Park called Mizi Bistro. We love their lunch sets provided with very low price which is RM21 per set (soup+main course+drink+free flow ice cream).

Anyway, while we were waiting for the food, there's a shoe shop just next to the restaurant. I was really keen to go and take a look because I've been wanting to buy a shoe but never really found the one I want (well actually couldn't find my size!). Knowing that wan is the kind of guy yang not really fond of shopping nih, so I malas la nak pegi tengok2 so I just expressed my disappointment for not being able to find my size to wan, casually ..

Me : I dah lama dok carik kasut. SEMUA kedai i pegi, SEMUA takde size. yang ade pulak, tinggi sangat. haihhh... i think nak pegi tengok jap later kedai kasut tu (pointing at the one next to the restaurant).
wan : pegi la tengok now. your food tak sampai lagi.
me : (hoh? r u serious?) really? so i go now ek?
wan : go lah.
me : (happily walk in to the store and 1 minute later got out with dissapointment)
wan : ada?
me : *sigh.. ade tu ade... tapi tinggi sangat laa.. like tinggi gilerrr... camne i nak pakai...
wan : alaa.. u kan pegi office je pakai. masuk office pakai selipar kan.
me : mana adaaa...(what is he trying to say here?)

food arrive... makan makan... kenyang...

wan : tak mau pegi tengok skali lagi?
me : (is he for real?) tak mo ler.. tinggi sangatt... plus its already 2pm. kena masuk office dah.
wan : are you sure?
me : seriously? who are you? what have you done to my husband???

ok the last part tu i juz made it up :P
it's just really weird to me cause that is totally not wan, the guy i married to :P
wan i used to know, when I started a conversation about shoes or shopping, he would totally shove it off :P

I guess marriage does change a person. In a good way :)

Heat rash on a baby

Hariz is the kind of baby that sweats a lot, I mean really a lot. He sweats every time I nurse him. He sweats when the weather gets a bit warm and he sweats when he is asleep. The sweats on him didn't really bothers me that much. He just get wet so much and we just change his cloth often and so I thought.

Not until yesterday, well it was actually few days ago, that we discover small red bumps on his chest, back and arms.

{rashes on the arms , back & chest}

Heat rash happens when the body heated and the skin pores got blocked out because of the sweats and small pores. Heat rash is not serious but it shows that the body is too warm. Usually it is not painful and maybe a bit itchy. As for Hariz, he didn't had any pain or itchiness. I was a bit worried when I saw all the reds dots on his body (who doesn't?).

So before he went to bed, I just wiped him off with lukewarm water.

and this morning when I woke up, to my surprise, all the red bumps are gone!!

I think my mistake the night before was I applied him a balm on the rashes and it went bad the day after. So what I did last night, I didn't put anything on the rash (oil, ointment, powder etc). Really saves our trip to the doc :P

However, if the rashes came with a fever, never hesitate to straight away to see your doc. It could be something else other than rashes.

Wake up call on Monday! :D

Hi guys!
I just got back from a meeting and seminar that held during the weekend (yeah.. I know.. sigh)
and we were given this trivia between the session (so we won't fall asleep :P)
so now , I want to give you this trivia pulak :D

Read carefully by referring to the diagram below. :
There are 2 empty gallons provided.
1 equals to 5 gallon and another is 3 gallon.
How to get 1 gallon of water using these 2 bottles provided?

Answer:
1st you fill in the 3 gallon bottle with water. Then pour it into th 5 gallon bottle.
Next, you fill in again that 3 gallons bottle with water and pour it in to the 5 gallon bottle until it is full.
Then it's only left 1 gallon water in 3 gallons bottle

Do you dare to swim at this pool?

A friend sent this on my email yesterday. Worth sharing :)

Don't go off the VERY deep end... Infinity pool 55 STORIES above ground opens in Singapore in dazzling new £4bn resort

He'll definitely want to make sure he doesn't swim too close to the edge.
This man is the first lap swimmer in the world to enjoy such a view - 55 stories over the city of Singapore.
The £4billion Marina Bay Sands tourism development opened in the city yesterday, and the 150-metre long pool - three times the length of an Olympic swimming pool - was a highlight.

Don't look down: A guest swims in the infinity pool of the Skypark that tops the Marina Bay Sands hotel towers - 55 stories over the city of Singapore yesterday

To infinity... and beyond! The pool stretches 150 metres, three times the length of an Olympic swimming pool

The view over the side: An artist's impression shows the Skypark that tops the Marina Bay Sands hotel towers, including the infinity pool

Infinity pools are designed to make it seem as though the water extends to the horizon. In reality, the edge of the pool is usually about an inch below the water level. The water therefore spills over the edge into a catchment below, and is then pumped back into the pool.

The concept is said to have been inspired by the terraced rice paddies in Bali, IndonesiaThey are often seen in luxury resorts such as the Marina Bay Sands.

In Singapore, Marina Bay Sands will be the pivot point in which tourism here is going to explode,' gaming tycoon Sheldon Adelson, chairman of Las Vegas Sands Corp, the parent company of the resort, said at its opening celebration yesterday.

Extreme: Left, relay teams scale one of the towers in a race commemorating the opening yesterday. Right, a newly-wed couple enjoy a canal ride inside the resort's shopping centre

The enormous hotel, which dominates the Singapore skyline, has 2,560 rooms and suites, a fleet of celebrity chef restaurants, shopping areas, theatres, a museum, a casino and a crystal pavilion.
The resort is set to employ 10,000 people directly and generate up to £48million each year. Entrance to the casino alone is nearly £50 a day - but an average of 25,000 people have visited the casino daily since its initial phased opening two months ago.
Thomas Arasi, president and chief executive officer of the resort, said he expects to attract an astonishing 70,000 visitors a day, 18 million a year.
The resort was designed by Moshe Safdie, who said he based it on a deck of cards.
the entrance to the casino, which costs nearly £50 to get in and is attracting 25,000 visitors each day.
It was due to open in 2009, but was delayed thanks to labour and material shortages, and funding problems due to the global financial crisis.
Last night, singing legend Diana Ross performed for 2,500 VIPs in the resort's Grand Ballroom. Singer Kelly Rowland also headlined an outdoor concert there yesterday.

The opening celebrations also featured a death-defying relay. Seven teams of three participants each scaled the three towers in succession before sprinting across the 340-metre long Sands SkyPark, where the infinity pool is located, to the finish line.

Just enjoying the sun: Models pose in the pool for journalists at the grand opening yesterday

I really really wanted to go here and witness history in the making for architecture. It's not really far that you have to travel millions of miles to see this wonder. It's in Singapore baby! :)

What would you do if this thing happend to you?

I'm the kind of person that likes to help people in need especially if that person is someone close like a friend or even an acquaintance.

Ever since in highschool, I was known as the person who likes to lend money to people. I even had a triple 5 book (buku 3 lima) to record all the loans and their names. hehe.. rasa macam ceti plak. But those days were not much like RM10, RM20 or even RM5.

So LAST year, I had this so-called friend, Aminah (bukan nama sebenar), asked me to lend her RM100 because apparently her house has been cut off it's electricity because one of her housemate didn't pay the bill and the LLN had to pull off their meter until the bill been paid. (god knows whether this is true). So I was so kind enough to lend her the money. Well that was BEFORE I got pregnant to Hariz.

To make the story more interesting, she had gone away to work somewhere else and my money yet to be seen. I bumped into her once in awhile but just from afar. I even sms and called her asking for the money but she never replied. The weird thing is, she seems to forget the money she 'borrowed' from me but I didn't.

Until one day, at the airport, while waiting for my plane to go to KL to attend the ARCHIDEX 2010, I saw her again. This time, I was determined to get my money back and again, I was like, sort of, did't have the nerve to came up to her and ask about it (orang yang hutang kat I but I plak takot nak mintak. boleh ke? :P) but I know where she's working now. Heck is just a few blocks away from my office building. I can just walk there if I want to.

Finally, after more than 1 year , I managed to rang her at her office and talk to her (nicely) about the money that I lend. Apparently, she 'forgot'! Maybe she got some kind of amnesia or hit her head hard and she said would pay me back by the end of the month.

I don't know about you guys, should I just ask her to pay me NOW or wait? I've waited for more than 1 year ! and will you 'forget' that you have borrowed money from someone? Especially if it's a hundred? Maybe 2 or 3 dollars is forgiven but a hundred dollar? should I go and throw red paint at her office? :P

Pieja's engagement

One of my best girlfriends got engaged over the weekend in our hometown Alor Star. and of course I had to be there for her. We've been together since we were 14. So you do the math :)

This is my 1st time trying my good old 50mm on an event. I must say it took really great photos! I didn't use any flash at all during the event and most of the photos below were SOOC (straight out of camera). Pretty cool huh?

I play a bit with the P (program) functions. 1st photos below were taken with Standard and the rest with Faithful. I had so much fun taking all these photos with the lens. I can't wait for another event like this for me to test out what my 'baby' could do :)

Anyway, enjoy the photos!

put your ring on it :P

more photos on Facebook :)

Thanks for looking!

comments are most welcome! :)

I feel like changing my car when I saw this!

My current ride at the moment is this Myvi Ez in grey. I heart this car so my much! It's fuel safe and quite spacious and compact! I couldn't careless on upgrading to a newer or bigger car because this is more like our 2nd car. We, wan and me use it almost everyday to work. Full tank for this car (using ron95) is only RM60 and it could last for 2 weeks! Imagine how much you could save with that amount!

Even though people kept asking 'dah keje tapi still kete kecik'. Jadik nyer? I don't mind. As long as it could take me anywhere I want to go and cost less, I don't mind at all. Right?

But until recently, I saw this new car, I was like... I wantttttt!!!!!!!!

It's the new myvi limited edition! Cantik kan??? Macam raspberry!!

But the interior don't really match with the external colour. It could have been better.

Even the broucher pon rasa macam nak tampal kat dinding rumah. Too cute!

But come to think about it, it's just the color and I don't think wan will look masculine driving this car :P Kalau nampak this car on the road, rasa macam nak menjerit kang! so far tak nampak lagi la. Any of you owned this car??  So jealous!

You know you are FABULOUS if you watched these!

Laugh all you want but I loveeee watching these TV shows. I find some kind of serenity when I got home from the hectic work at the office. Rasa tenang jee.. LOL. Below are some of my favorites and fun to watch TV shows.
I don't mind watching these over and over again. Kimora is really fun to watch but I admit, the Baby Phat lines are not so famous here in Malaysia like Victoria's Jeans right?

Even though everything is so fake, I still love them. From Kim to Khloe.

This one, well... kalau ada tengok je.. takde la sampai follow. Tapi best jugak :P

This is something I would never get bored watching. The drama, the challenge. The photo shoot , the bitching. Love em!

Ahh this is new. I think Courtney Cox still has her Monica Gellar inside of her in this show ;)

and last but not least.. my favourite that I've never missed each episodes so far!

Glee!!!!
I love music and I love all the songs they sang in each episodes especially when they do Gaga. Sadly the 1st season is ending soon. *sob sob. Hopefully there'll be 2nd season with more drama and silliness. :P

What's your favorite TV shows?
