Yet another competition

Well it's not one of those contest I entered. It's a competition our company entered sometime ago for a site in Penang to re-develop the area into a housing area.

We were among top 5 selected for the competition (congratulations!)

Oh I didn't participate in the competition. Just these two kiddo did :P

All the presented boards were displayed at the town hall next to the Padang Kota.
If you ever in Penang or that area, feel free to drop by and see other participants from all over Malaysia and overseas too! (and you could go for rojak and pasembur at the food court later!!)

The exhibition opens on weekdays working hours 9.00am - 5.00pm with lunch break at 1.pm - 2pm.

Celebrating Hariz 1st birthday

Finally we managed to organized Hariz's first birthday party at my hometown in Alor Setar last weekend. It's kinda a last minute plan and nothing fancy. Just cake(s), balloons and homemade food :)

We invited only family members as this is just a small party just to celebrate Hariz's transformation from an infant to a toddler. Though is just a small get together, we were pretty exhausted chasing Hariz around the house! At this age, all he ever wanted is being free and careless.

Hariz turned 1! (few weeks ago)

Oreo ice cream cake

Family from both sides, wan and me.

All he ever wanted is the knife. not the cake!

This hat stays for 5 seconds and later all those glittering stuff sudah tertanggal

His most favourite toy that moment ('that' because we didn't bring it back to penang. nanti jenoh tak mau keluar)

see how happy he was?

His fondness towards pink. I couldn't say more.

My sister bought this spray thingy that form snowlike bubble.

He just loves it.

Happy 1st Birthday (again) Hariz sayang.
Finally mama buat party for you.
Better late than never right? :)

XOXO

PAM Northern Chapter dinner at Eastin Hotel

Last Friday, if you have been following my tweet, I was a the PAM Northern Chapter dinner at the new Easting Hotel in Penang. The event started at 7pm but I was running a bit late because of the maghrib (and make up and standing in front of the mirror can't decide how to wear my scarf).

Anyway, the even started with a welcome speech by PAM Northern Chapter's chairman, Ar. Lawrence Lim Hua Kwang and later, of course, the dinner :)

We were served with chinese's 10 course meal. We were all starving and got annoyed with 1 meal at a time serving. I felt like I could eat the whole table!

The food was, well, not so bad. Maybe because we were too hungry to notice?

The male colleague of mine. Handsome eh? FYI, they are all single except the one on the far left :P

Seriously, when they told me about the dinner, I remembered that I've got nothing to wear at all!! I mean nothing suitable for the dinner. Takkan nak pakai baju raya kot? So I just wear this beaded purple top with black inner and black pants.

Oh and the shoes. Hehehe.. Do you like it? Bought it prior to the dinner. I've got nothing to wear!!!! (alasan)

It's perfect for a formal event and to the office! I've never had any close-toe shoes before. Betol! Tak tipu!

So why not??

And oh, I had to hide the box and the paperbag in my boot to avoid from my hubby seeing it :P

Wore the shoes at work today. I love love love love love it!!

I used to wear size uk 7 but I bought uk8 this time around because they tend to , well, shrunk. I know if it's leather they said it will expand. I tak percaya.I bought 3 pairs before and they are all somehow shrunk! (or that my feet is getting bigger?? eh??)

Silence doesn't mean I'm not here!! :P

Hai hai!!! Good moooorrrrning guyss!!!! How was your weekend??? Did any of you miss me?? NOtt!!!! I know reena did :P Kan reena kann... :P Because of you I update jugak my blog today tau. Kalau tidak tunggu balik umah malam karang :P Not that I've got nothing to do whatsoever :)

Anyway, I've been a little occupied for the past few days with work at the office, designing stuff and when I got home, i've got another designing thing to do.

If you remember this entry, a contest I entered to design a blog header, well, I've got few requests to design more blog header and blog page. But since my time is a little constraint because of the full time job and fulltime mommy, the design work has been sort of delayed until my sister insist (or should I say buat-skarang-or-I-kill-you) to re-design her blog page.

So that's kinda explain why my own blog has been a little 'neglected' :P

I really enjoyed doing this. Well not as much as I enjoy my job :P This is more like a hobby of mine. I've got to do this as a hobby and maybe make a little money out of it. Buat beli pampers Hariz :P

And what did I get from my sis? A lifetime supply of shawls!! HAHAHAHA *evil laugh*

Actually I masih tak berani sangat nak amik order from you guys because it will take waaaaayyyy longer time to complete because I can't really do one design in 1 day! huhuhu.. Unless time is not an issue for you *ding! :)

So I still got one more to complete. K'own, hang sabaq sat naaa. Yours in next. Insyallah end of the week boleh kot siap. Huhuhuu.. Even if it means I have to burn the midnight oil... NOtt!!!! :P

On baby safety gate

Ever since Hariz started to learn to crawl, we knew that having a house with staircases would be one of the safety issue. At first, I was a bit reluctant to buy one of those safety gate because it's an eye sore! But putting away aesthetics, Hariz safety is number 1.

So I went looking for this safety gate at Toys R' Us. They had  a few models to choose from with the price ranging from RM179 - RM400++. I'm not looking for something fancy. Good enough to stop Hariz from climbing up the stairs.

Luckily Toys R' Us was having a promotions for it's members. So I bought this safety gate from Little Bean for RM179.90.

My mistake when purchasing this gate was I didn't measure it first before went looking for it. Well actually it was unintentional buys.

Well anyway, when I got home to try in on, like I reckon, the gate didn't fit. My staircase a little too wide and the gate is short. I thought of add few extensions but Wan said its really a waste and it will cost more.Luckily Toys R' Us has a full refund policy within a certain day so I returned the gate and got my money back :)

With the stairs being no-gate, we were thinking of getting a custom made gate. I think it'll cost around RM100++ per gate with iron as material and we need 3 of it. But Wan got a much better plans. So I thought.

Finally after 2 days bertukang, we got our own custom made safety gate that we won't get anywhere else..

Heheh.. it's not as sleek as made my professionals but it is safe :)

(Master card moment) : Price for 3 safety gates = RM150++
Price for our baby's safety = Priceless
