My head is spinning round and round and round

Actually I've been feeling a bit dizzy today from waking up on the wrong side of bed. HUhuhuhu..

This is how it happened. Hariz woke up crying again last night (this been going on for the past 2 weeks!) I have no idea what's got into him. He will wake up twice at 2am and 4am.

and last night,I woke up to his cried, jumped off the bed, and twirled like this

before I went to take him out of his cot. Then I felt like the house is like a big ship being hit by giant waves! urrgghh!!!! I hate thissss!!! Satu hari tak bleh nak buat keja!

Now I feel like wanna puke. Uuuppptttt!!!!

My first watched movie in 3D! - Toy Story 3

I hardly get to watched movies nowadays since Hariz was born. I used to be a movie buff when I was single & not married (yet) :P

Anyway, I got the chance yesterday and since I've never watched a movie in 3D, we picked Toy Story 3 in Gurney Plaza.

Takde orang pon at that time. Lengang je. Best gilerrrr . Or is it because this movie has been here since forever? :P
Muka orang jakun dah lama tak tengok movie :P

The movie started at 1450hrs so we had some time for lunch and window shop :P I picked Mr. Teppanyaki. Actually I just had Mr. T last Friday but who cares? The black pepper beef is so hard to resist!

oh.. that's me. I look like a zombie don't I ? I don't know why but I hardly put on any make up. Well only when I feels like to. Itu pon eye liner and a bit of a blusher here and there. Why? too lazy to take them off later I guess :P
cendol drink

That's my significant other, purchasing a hot roll, when he is going to have the black pepper beef later. Nak cuba kata nyerr... hmmmmm

Oh.. I should've put photo of the food but we were too hungry and tempted so.., sorry! :P

What do I think of the movie?

I love it!!!! I always love Toy Story. Who doesn't? The jokes crack me up!  but I kinda get a bit emotional throughout the end. Isk. I was breathing so hard not to cry :P Why? Well you gotta watch it for yourself!!! I'm not going to burst the bubble here. Sheeisshh..

That's all for today!
Thank you for looking &
Have a nice day!!

Chicken , Veggie & Rice & everything nice

I've been doing a lot of cooking last weekend so there'll be a few entries on just recipes. So please bear with me :P

Hariz is almost 9 months now so I started to look for new recipe to add to his little menu like chicken and eggs.

What to feed
• Breast milk or formula, PLUS
• Small amounts of soft pasteurized cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese (but no cows' milk until age 1)
• Iron-fortified cereals (rice, barley, wheat, oats, mixed cereals)
• Mashed fruits and vegetables (bananas, peaches, pears, avocados, cooked carrots, squash, potatoes, sweet potatoes)
• Finger foods (lightly toasted bagels, cut up; small pieces of ripe banana; well-cooked spiral pasta; teething crackers; low-sugar O-shaped cereal)
• Small amounts of protein (egg, pureed meats, poultry, and boneless fish; tofu; well-cooked and mashed beans with soft skins like lentils, split peas, pintos, black beans)
• Non-citrus juice (apple or pear)

But for this time, I'll skip the egg and go with chicken because I myself not quite ready to feed him eggs (boleh ke? :P)

Chicken, Veggie & Rice

info : 1/3 veggie&chicken + 2/3 rice

- Chicken breast
- Celery - diced
- Carrots - diced
- Broccoli - diced
- Brown Rice - cooked in pot
- Pumpkin (Hariz's favourite! must haves in every meal!) - diced

>Masukkkan ayam dalam periuk. Rebuskan dan masukkan sekali celery, carrots, broccoli dan pumpkin.

>Agak-agak ayam dah masak, keluarkan, biar sejuk sikit dan koyakkan isi and letakkan dalam bekas asing seperti di bawah untuk di blend :

{chicken + veggies}

> untuk brown rice, masak di dalam periuk sehingga lembut tapi tak terlalu cair (sebab akan di blend jadi lagi lembut)

{brown rice after cook}

>kemudian, campurkan brown rice yang sudah di masak dengan campuran ayam dan sayur tadi. Blendkan sehingga hancur sedikit. Untuk Hariz, he likes a bit of a texture in his meal and ready to eat!

You too could own this customized camera strap!

 "when there's a will, there's a way :)"

I became like a mad women when I wrote this entry few weeks ago. I know they could ship those item to Malaysia but to me, for a handmade item plus I-could-do-it myself-If-I-could stuff for a USD30 is actually a bit over the budget.

So I began my search for locals who could make this babies. So I emailed these two lovely ladies, maya and kak zura after seeing their works done online asking whether they could do these personalized camera straps for me. and guess what? They would love to! After seeing my entry on those straps, they couldn't help themselves but to make it too!

I ordered 2 from maya and 1 from kak zura. I just got from Maya last week and I'm so excited to post them in my blog! (still waiting mine from kak zura :))

So here they are, my new additions to my camera!

It's a strap slip cover with desinger cotton fabric which I picked myself :P

Now I could change it to follow my mood! :D You can choose the fabric yourself which is tonnes! You could spend all day just picking the right fabric. I know I did :P

My verdict? I love it!!!!! I never feel  hanging my camera on my neck in this fun!!

To those who requested to combine shipping for this babies if I ever got it in US, now you don't have to anymore! Just email those 2 ladies and they are more than happy to assist you ;)

Now I just pay RM20 for a strap instead of $30!!! Isn't cheap or what?

To Maya and Kak Zura, thank you for making one of my dreams came true! Hehehe..

Simplest Crabstick Fried Rice

This is my 2nd attempt making the fried rice since the 1st time was such a success (dinner) so why not do it again (breakfast) :P This will be the simplest of the simplest recipe I've ever tried! (Trust me, I'm not much of a cook. When I say simple, it really is simple :P)

Today marked the 1st year anniversary of MJ's passing

Can you believe it's been 1 year since the late MJ's death? Well I can't!

The 1st time I heard about MJ's death on the radio, I was shocked and suddenly I felt tears running down my cheeks. MJ's may not be related to me in so many ways but somehow, his songs, his legacy have been part of me since I was little.

I grew up listening to MJ's song and his songs, unlike many artists, have touched my heart deep down inside. Every time I heard Earth Song playing, my heart shatters. The lyrics, the tunes, really touches me. If I were one of the peoples who screwing up the earth, when I listen to the song, I would stop destroying the earth and stop the war.

His loss really takes effect on everybody's life, including me.

I felt something missing from music industry and from the world. For some, it is the end of the world when MJ was pronounced dead.

And when that happened, the little voice inside of me kept saying that he is alive and this is just a propaganda. It may not be real! but unfortunately, it is.

I never love a celebrity like I love MJ. I love his music and I would never stop being his fan.

Even though he is no longer here to give us the moonwalk and memorable dance moves, he is still in my heart and my mind.

His lost is irreplaceable . There is only 1 Michael Jackson and his legacy will remain.

Michael, you may be gone but you are still exist in our heart.

Your #1 fan.

Fever on 8 months old baby

Hariz has been down with fever since Monday. This will be the longest fever he had since he was born. It was so heart wrenching to see him ill and not as playful like he used to be when we was healthy.

It started on last Sunday evening when suddenly, I felt hot on his cheeks and I knew that it's fever. I tried to breastfeed him and put dabbed him with wet towel but the temperature didn't seem to subside. So we gave him paracetamol as prescribed by the doctor. Luckily Hariz is not so hard to give a medicine to. He will just, take it like eating a candy. Few hours later, he started to sweat and get better.

I was contemplated to go to work on Monday but he seems fine and didn't show signs that fever will arise again.

Called the nursery from work at around 3.30pm but he seems okay. So I was a bit relief.

But when I reached him after work, he was down with fever. His body was hot and his lips are all red.He seems unhappy and showed no expressions. I got home and quickly breastfeed him and dabbed him with wet towel again. Temperature showed 39.1 Deg! gave him the medicine again and within minutes, he gets better again.

I took a day off the next day because I know he is still not 100% well eventhough he was climbing here and there.

On Wednesday, I had to go to work and Hariz was okay but not completely well. For the 1st time, Hariz cried when I sent him to the nursery. It was heart breaking and I cried on my way to work. Sedih tau. :(

{healthy Hariz. Maybe it's football fever yah?}

I took another day off today. If he shows no signs of fever today, he should be okay tomorrow and I need to go to work tomorrow.

The first time Hariz was given medications back when he was 3 months old, we have been struggling with the syringe because of the narrow end and afraid it may hurt his gums. So I went to Toys R' Us and found this 3 piece medication kit from Safety 1st. It's just like any other syringe but with removable caps/spout which really gentle on his gum. and I think he kinda like the spout because he kept sucking it eventhough the syrup is gone. Maybe mommies out there who's been having trouble giving medications to their babies could try this?

I think this is the new version of the kit from Safety 1st but the all meant for the same reason.

Happy National Pink Day!

I heard about this on the radio today on my way to work. I didn't know today is the National Pink Day!. Here's what I found online about this day :
When is National Pink Day? Always June 23rd!  (in America)
This holiday is not to be confused with Wear Pink Day or National Wear It Pink Day- National Wear it Pink Day which is celebrated in Canada on May 27th, 2010. The Weekend to End Women's Cancers (formerly known as the Weekend to End Breast Cancer) official website.  The actual Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed in October. National Pink Day has nothing to do with breast cancer awareness at all.

How is this holiday celebrated?
This holiday is celebrated by going pink! That's right, today's the day to celebrate the color pink in every way you can think of.  It's easy to enjoy and participate in this holiday.
Here's a few ideas:

Wear pink clothes: Pink is always in a little girls closet so let today be the day you wear pink clothes to town. Yep dress up in pink just like your kids and have a day of pink fun. Go shopping for something new in pink to wear for next year too!
and today I just felt like putting on my not-so-new dress (bought online :P) and guess what? It's pink! :P

 {my workstation is a mess. I know}

So tell me, are you wearing pink today? :D

Just another weekend

Helluu ladiesss!! and gentss :P
How are you spending your weekend?
Stay at home? A walk at the mall? Stay in bed? Work? If work, i feel sorry for you.. huhuhu

Anyways, I just got back from KL yesterday (Friday). Had a meeting on Thursday and spent a day in KL at my sis's. The trip to KL this time was exhausting! Why?? Let me tell you why..

First, I missed my flight out to KL on Thursday morning. I don't how did that happened. This is the first time (and hope the last time) it's happened to me. The flight was at 7.15am. I swear I set the alarm clock at 4.40am. The clock works just fine before and I don't know why it didn't went off on that particular day! So Hariz was awake, at 2am. I nurse him and went back to bed somewhere around 2.30am. Then he woke up again and I thought it is still quite early, so I picked him up, nurse him and looked at the clock and to my surprise, it was 6.20am!!! I jumped of the bed and screamed waking up Wan who was in his dreamland (sorry honey.!:P) There's no way I would catch that plane. Luckily I've packed my suitcase the night before. So I just drove myself to the airport calmly (eventhough the little voice in me kept saying I'm going to make it ) I reached airport at exactly 7.15am and saw my plane just took off. *sigh. So I just parked my car, and went to the query counter to ask for the next 1st flight going to KL. Luckily, there was one at 8.15am and reached KL at 9.00am. A bit relief that I made it to the meeting. (the meeting went well by the way.)

We finished off in a day and I got 1 extra day as I thought the meeting would take 2 days. I can't change the time and date of fight because I need 48hrs to do so. *sigh again. So I passed on my hotel room and stay at my sisters' instead.

That is why my blog have been a little 'quite' for the past few days. I'm going to be travelling again soon in 2 weeks time, and the next 2 weeks.

What do I miss the most when travelling? Hariz of course! (used to be Wan, but now Hariz lah :P)

Eversince I left him with his abah when I was off to Vietnam, (that was my 1st time being away from Hariz), Wan has picked up on how to look after Hariz. Well, I must say, he's already getting the hang of it. So kinda easy now for me to travel again (I used to worry like mad to leave Hariz with his abah :P)

So today, I just spent the whole day playing with him.

"mama!! where's my milk!!! I want milkkk!!!!"

"mama, where did you put the magazine?? oh in here.?. hang on.. let me look for it"

"ughh uugh.. where is that bloody magazine, nope. not this, not this either"

"aaaahhhh!!.. aahhh...!!!! something got my fingersss!!! arghhh!!!!'"
"jussttt kiddinggg.! heeeeeeee"

"ahh.. found itt!!!!!"

Have a great weekend guys!!!

Ho Chi Minh City {Day 4} - Final entry. Yeay!

Okay, so I had a bit of 'free' time last night to edit and try spice up each photos :P I don't think I could do it in all entries but I will try to do it whenever I had the chance :) I'm soo lovin it!! :P

Anyway, to my final entry of the Ho Chi Minh City trip, we went to the Presidential Palace which was really famous during the war time.

and next, to the  Norte Dame Cathedral

The 1st time I looked inside the Old Post Office, I was amazed by its design and it does look more like a train station than a post office, no?

Ah.. lovin the small rooms. It's for the public to make international calls.

There were quite a number of brides & grooms taking photos around the area. Looking at the designs of the buildings, I can see why they choose these 'hot' spots :)

Next, off to a small factory that makes lacquerware. Mind you there are all handmade and made by the handicapped people.

Done with the visit, it's makan time!

And shopping of course :P

That's all for my recent Vietnam Trip! (phew!) Hope you enjoy all the photos.
I will be a bit occupied this few days but will try to update my blog at least once a day. huhuhu..
Till then!

Thank you for looking!

It's that time of the month again..

no I'm not talking about 'that' time (ladies, u know what I mean :P), I'm having the mood changes again. This time on the blog. Thought of changing it a bit, jazz it up here and there.

This time, I've decided to imply the background from Shabby instead of making it myself. Shabby has a huge collections of beautiful, drop dead gorgeous background to die for! Go check them out!

As for the header, well, I think I'll leave it as it is for time being. Plus it looks okay with the background too, kan? :)

Happy 8 Months!

I tried to keep this blog updated with Hariz's each month's birthday but I kept missing it and always end up with happy belated or in advance. What can I say, I a very busy women. huhuhu

Anyways, Happy 8 months darling. This means you've got 4 more months to go until you're 1 year old! Does this mean mama has to plan for your birthday now? *shrug

Okay, a bit of what Hariz's has achieved when entering his 8 months old :

1. He is able to stand up while holding or hanging on to something
2. He started to call 'abahhh' now and less 'maammaa'. *sigh. (I started noticing this changes when I was away for 4 days to Vietnam). But now, he can switch it to mama and sometimes abah. but most of the time is abah :(
3. Still no signs of teething tho.
4. He sleeps better now like 9.30pm to 6.30am.
5. He can kiss!! Mwaahhh!!!

Well I think that's it! :) Enjoy the photos of Hariz at 8 months and 1 week old :)

nyum nyum. crackers gooddd

aaahh. cameraa!! i love cameraaa!!! weeee!!!

okay.. im hungry. can i eat now?

Thanks for looking!

Ho Chi Minh City {Day 3}

We start off our 3rd day in HCMC by visiting the City Opera House, District 1. It's just a walking distance from the hotel we stayed, Kimdo Royal Hotel.

I've never been to any opera house before. I find it so breathtaking and as if I was in one of the scene from the Phantom of The Opera :P That's my collegue from KL branch Hani and Puteri. We tried to do the gLee thingy :P

I really wish there was a performance done at that moment. *sigh*

Next we went to visit Phu My Hung Township. There's a show unit of one of the apartment and I can't help but noticing of these yummy 'food' display at their kithchen. Don't they look real? They were as close as the real thing! I kid you not! They carry a certain weight and even so fluffy like a real bun! I think I've seen it selling at SSF? *gosh, must have this! :P

A french student apartment at the district

Then we went to the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center where we have set a booth to display our works.

 Some of other local representatives

It has been one tiring day so we decided to take a break and relax. I did a ped and men and foot massage with hot stones. If you've tried Thai massage, they are pretty similar because they are so strong! I felt like they were crushing my bones when they did the back massage. whoa! I will never do that again! Unlike Bali, they were very soft and gentle. Anyway, the massage plus ped and men cost me USD 20. Quite resionable I would say.

Okay, final entry next I promise! :) Stay tuned!
