Hariz 1st trip to the Zoo

I remember when I was little my dad used to take us to the zoo on the weekends or school holiday. I've been to most of the zoos in Malaysia but I think I've never been to the National Zoo. Maybe I did but have forgotten about it :P.

So now, being a parent myself, I feel it is my 'duty' to take my kids to the zoo. We've been planning for this mini trip for so long and only able to do it recently. I invited my dad and my sisters to come along with us as it would be more fun when than just the 4 of us. Plus school holiday was about to end.

We departed from Penang at 10am. I did prepare ourselves some tuna sandwiches for the trip.It's a classic sandwich menu if you're going for a trip or picnic. Well its actually more easy to do :P

It was the last day of school holiday and boy I tell you, the zoo was packed! The cars were stretched for a few meters. My dad had to park his mpv far from the entrance. Luckily that day was a little sunny.

We brought along 2 strollers for the kids convenient. This is too actually our 1st time outing with 2 strollers.

Most of the visitor waiting for the train ride. It was massive queue! But we rather walk than squeezing to get in the line. Plus, where's the fun in going to the zoo if you're moving so fast? It is best for you to stop, stay for awhile, admiring the animals and just take your own sweet time.

I haven't been here long, and it's kinda sad to see the poor conditions of the animals. Plenty of cages were empty and most animals were not carefully taken care of. Look at the Orang Utan. She/he's obese! There were 2 of them and they barely move. Just sat there and eat. They didn't look healthy at all.

Hariz's favorite animal is Elephant. and everytime we mentioned 'Elephant', he will make that elephant sound. 'auuuuuuuu' . We keep walking but actually, the elephant was at the end of the zoo! Penat gila jalan baru jumpa gajah. Apa lagi.. auuuu auuuu dia kat situ.

We stopped by at one of the rest hut for a break. Makan sandwich tuna time2 macam ni memang best. Sedap and lazat! Then we continued to the other part of the zoo. And Hariz saw bibitt!! bibitt!!

All the way, Sara was such a doll. The trip inside the zoo itself took about 2 hours or so. She hardly cries. She fell a sleep for a few times. As for Hariz, we let him walk with us instead being in the stroller. We stopped by Juru Autocity for lunch on our back home. and luckily Hariz pooped when we were just a bout to leave Juru. Kalau dia pooped dekat zoo tu memang problem la tengok condition toilet kat situ macam mana kann.

All and all, it was a fun trip for all of us. It shows that we can take both of them for a trip like this in the future. IF they stay being well behave :)

My sister, Nurul got engaged with her long time boyfriend, Zhafran last Saturday. It was a happy, colorful and merry day for all of us. It was more like a small family gathering since all of our relatives were there. Day like this has been one of my favorite because other than Eid, we gathered to celebrate and share the happiness together and of course, lotsa food!

Before the day itself, she already called and reminded me to be the official photographer for the day. and for FREE. meaning without being paid. by any means. Being a big sis, Im fine with it. Plus i need to sharpen my photography skills yang semakin menghilang. Blame it on my camera for being in the workshop for the 2nd time. Don't ask me how it get there because I have no idea too!

The dress was custom made at PIN Fashion, a local tailor in Alor Star and she sent it for beading at Beadmeplease.

All the decorations were done by my sis herself with the help of dayang-dayang sekalian. Except the hantaran. That was done by a the very talented Cikgu Noni. She did my hantaran too :) And the bouquet cupcake were done by Kak Anne from Liplickin! She is based in Kepala Batas, Penang.

She hanged the lanterns herself. Macam birthday party pon ade :P But it was colorful! There were suppose some signages for the event, which I did, but due to some technical problem, the signages weren't able to be printed out.

Assalammualaikum...

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I blog about something here *blowing dusts* Wonder if there are still readers of this blog. :P

If you've been following me on twitter, you will know how hectic my life has been ever since the arrival of Sara. Rezeki pon datang melimpah ruah like office workload and my blog design job at Krafty Palette. These are all my babies now. I have to care for them, feed them, cherish them :)

When there were just Hariz, i kept posting on Hariz's milestones but not when with Sara. Macam kesian jugak. huhuhu but I'm trying. Most of my free time I spent designing the blog. Updating this blog will be the last thing to do. Plus my camera is in the workshop again. So all photos were taken with camera phone. Hence the blurring.

As for my Krafty Palette, I had to close for new orders for time being because ever since it's opening, I hardly had time for myself. Sometimes got me to think why on earth did I start the blog at first place??! Well I found some kind of 'happiness' in blog designing. So I can't stop. Like people had hobbies, I have blog design! :) and I am really grateful to be getting a lot of orders and still receiving orders although I'm no longer taking one. So thank you everyone for your support. Even though terkemut kemut nak siapkan 1 draft. I only have 3-4 hours a day! Itu pon kalau Sara cooperate lah. Bila dia buat perangai bangun setiap jam, memang mak give up.

To update on Sara milestone, she just turned 4 months old last 13th. We haven't done the aqiqah or cukur rambut for her. *sigh* and she has started losing her womb hair (is it womb hair?) heh. Like her mom, I've been losing handful of hair! Penoh lantai and toilet drain. But I just couldn't careless. Sometimes I just tak larat nak kisah like rumah sepah ke, baju tak lipat ke, tak gosok ke. Living with just the 4 of us and no helper is really mencabar keimanan. If only I have a magic wand and just swooshh it and the house is clean. Yeah I wish.Oh she haven't yet meniarap or anything. Berat bontot kot.

FYI, Hariz is never jealous of Sara. In fact he loves Sara. He doesn't care if I play more with Sara or breastfeeding Sara. Sometimes he just came up to Sara and kiss her and return to whatever he was doing. Alhamdulillah that I don't have to worry to much about Hariz acceptance towards Sara when she 1st arrived. I will share with you a video taken by my hubs when we 1st brought Sara home from the hospital. His expression was priceless! I could cry everytime I watched the video.Anyway, here's some shots taken recently during the 3 days holiday.

Hariz is not well by the way. It's been 2 days he's been having mild fever. Started with coughing. Jangkit from abah dia laa. Although abah dia got it from me. huhuhu. Hope he will get well soon.

Hariz turns 2!

It feels like only yesterday I gave birth Hariz and now he is 2! Since he is a little bigger now, we decided to throw him his 2nd birthday bash although his 1st was more like an intimate party with just family members. So this time, we went all out (well almost. belom sampai that stage yet kot :P) We hired a caterer for the foods, customized cake, a little deco on the venue (actually di rumah je)

Anyway, the party was a success for a 1st timer like me hosting a birthday party. Terover budget makanan end up banyak left over and hujan sekejap.

I did all the planning 2 weeks prior the said date. Memang tak sempat nak buat banyak benda but we managed to have a little bit of everything :)

Let's begin with the cakes, found this blog from another blogger and she is based in Kepala Batas, Penang so I decided to give it a try. I ordered cookie crumble flavor cake, moist chocolate cuppies and cheesy pop tarts. I jumped for joy upon receiving the cakes. It was gorgeous and ohh.. they tasted like heaven.. mmmmm....I've never tasted anything like this before. Thanks so much Kak Anne from Liplickin!!!

Sara was such a doll on that day. She just play on her own and didn't really bother about me not being with her.

On Eid Mubarak 2011

I hope its not too late for me to post my raya entry. Hey, raya kan sebulan? :P

Anyway, this year is definately a blast for me , wan and hariz because we have Sara!!! Finally I've got someone I can play dress up with :) I just went nuts with all th headbands, dresses and shoes. Tunggu la dia dah besar and boleh jalan.

This year we celebrated raya only in Kedah. All my family went to raya n JB as usual. Normally we will tag along but this time, since we have Sara, and she is still too little to travel that much. Maybe next year we will raya in JB.

I hate wearing glasses during events like this (rasa tak cun :P) But my contact lens decided to turn against me so , yeah, i have to wear the glasses. sigh.

On 2nd day of Raya, we went beraya to my girlfriends. Total of 4 houses. Sampai maghrib jugak la habis makan. fuh. But the best part is seeing these faces again. We hardly see each other coz they are all in KL and Im here in Penang.

Hariz and Sara got the most duit raya. and Hariz can never get his hands off Sara. Sayang betol dengan adik dia.

Nursery for little Sara Urgent

We were planning to send Sara to where I've been sending Hariz eversince before she was born.

I thought the place is good and nice for our little ones. They have been taking care of Hariz well and we never feel reluctant to send Sara there too.

Unfortunately, I just found out that they are no longer taking babies 2 months of age. Only 6 months and above. Probably because of the high risk nowadays about babies.

When I heard the bad news, I became lost. Nak nangis pon ade because I've got exactly 1 more month to find a decent place for Sara. I don't rely on babysitters unless it's someone related to me or wan.

So what do I do at times like this, is I turned to my dearly beloved blog readers. I know there are people out there staying here in Penang too and residing in Seberang Jaya to be exact. Help me looking for a nursery or daycare.

If you know any good place for my 2 month Sara, please let me know. I really really appreciate your help.

On baby's headband

I used to drool over cute baby girl's stuff like skirts, mary jane shoes, tutus, head bands and pink stuff. Now that I have one my own, I became wilder everytime I see these cute little thing.

Even before Sara was born, I vowed to myself not to spoil her with too much girly stuff but I just can't help it! They are too cute to resist!

As I was browsing (just browsing ok!) for baby girl's stuff, i bumped into this cute head piece and I was like, 'Sara gotta have this! She's gonna be sooo cute with it!'. And of course, being me if this thing sold online, there must be 1 shop that sells cheaper. So I searched and searched and finally found this blog that sells much much cheaper than those I've found. End up I bought 4 of them! :P

On our 3rd Anniversary

There was never a day that I didn't feel love towards you.

3 years and Allah has give us 2 lovely children for us to enjoy this marriage more.

I didn't say it was easy but having you by my side, things became easier.

3 years and my love towards you has grown ever bigger.

My labor story - Sara

It's been 2 weeks since Sara was born and only today I have the urge to blog about the labor story. It's not that anyone asked for it. I just need to write this for my own keep. So I can look back in the future and read the experience I had when giving birth to my children :).

*Inhale* So I guess some of you know that I was a little late on the delivery date. I was pregnant with Sara for 40 weeks and 3 days. I've been taking maternity leave from the office since June 17th! Why so soon? Well Hariz was born 2 weeks earlier than EDD and Sara's EDD was June 30th (that's what the doc in Penang said). Since I was going to deliver in Kedah, I had to take earlier leave as a precoution. End up I had to stay at my parent's home for almost a month just waiting!! Well nevermind that. So I continue my checkup at Putra Medical Center where I am going to have the baby with the O&G name Dr. Annuar Hussainy. I've asked around most people say that he is the best!

Day 0, July 12th, 2011 (Week 40 Day 3)

My last check up with the gynae was on Tuesday, July 12th, 2011 (week 40 and day 3rd) and the doc said my water is getting lesser and I should deliver the baby as soon as possible. Possibly on that very day. But I can't because Wan is still in KL at the moment attending a seminar and only will be back on the next day. So I was scheduled for induced labor on Wednesday, July 13th , 2011.

The minute I heard the word 'induce', I started to freak a bit. Went back home and start googled about induced labor. Most of them are not as horror as it may sound. So that night, I prayed that everything will go smoothly and I will have my darling Sara without any trouble.

Day 1, July 13th, 2011 (Week 40 Day 4)

As the day arrived, I woke up as early 7am , get a shower and had heavy breakfast because I know I'm going to need a lot of energy later. We checked into the ward at around 10am and changed into the hospital dress, you know the one that made your ass popping out at the back. I was asked to rest and the nurses took the baby heartbeat readings as I lay on the bed in the ward.

10.30AM

The doctor came at around 10.30 am and inserted Pitocin into my vajayjay to start the labor process. He said normally it will take a few hours for me to feel the labor pain. So I just wait. My mom came and bring lunch and the hospital serve lunch too and I ate both! :P I need all the energy I can get! And of course, I've never missed giving live updates on my Twitter.

11.30AM

I keep jotting down the time when I started to feel the contractions. Starting from 11.30 am. It went on for almost every 10 minutes but very mild. It was getting stronger around noon at 1.30pm which is still bearable. But somewhere around 3pm, I've started to feel stronger contractions and I can hardly lay on the bed anymore. I kept walking back and forth in the ward and try to do the penguin dance like my dear friend did. It did work until the surges started and I can hardly do anything anymore!!!

4.30PM

The pain was getting stronger and I kept calling the nurses to check on me. Everytime they came in , I kept saying, I'm still okay. It's bearable, until 4.45pm, I said i can't stand it anymore. I think it is time! The nurses came in and said I've already 6-7cm dilated. They quickly got me a wheel chair and stroll me to the labor room which is just next door! Thank god! I sat on the huge pink labor bed that can be reclined and even had a massanger! This is new! They said it could keep you relax a bit. Yeah the massages did help a bit until the pain was so unbearable that I had to ask them to turn it off!! Hahaha.

5.15PM

I kept asking for the doctor because I think I was going to be in labor anytime soon. Don't get me started with the pain! Wan never left my side and god (and Wan) knows how hard I've been pressing his arms everytime the pain started. I was told there was another women in labor in the next room but really I couldn't stand the pain and I told the nurse 'nurse!! saya dah ready nak push ni.. dah tak tahannn!!' and quickly the nurse called the doc and I can see the doc were running and quickly put on his robe. Then he said "okay, anytime now just push" so will all my strength, I gave one long hard push and everyone in the room keep cheering me and said "sikit lagi!! one long pusshh!!! sikit lagii!!!" and after 3 long-hard push, I heard Sara cries. and I can't stop saying "ya Allah, ya Allah". She was the most beautiful baby I've ever seen (after Hariz lah :P)

Alhamdulillah I didn't have any complications during/after the labor and was discharged the next day. I really enjoy my stay at PMC and the nurses are very friendly and helpful. There's this one nurse (I forgot her name), that really took care of me. Insyallah I'll chose PMC again for my next labor :)

Three for less!

If you've been following my twitter, I did tweet about buying books online with far more cheaper price! I've been thinking of getting these books since ages ago but juggling between full time job and part time job and a mom (phew that was mouthful!), I don't think I even have the time to read. The last time I really read and finish a book was when I was in confinement.

Since I am going to be in confinement (soon I hope!), I thought why not get these books now? The only books I've always had in mind were Mini Shopaholic, Twenties Girl and Have A Little Faith. I enjoy light readings. So I guess these 3 books are suffice.

I've been an avid follower of the Shopaholic's series since book 1! and Mitch Albom's too! I did cry once when reading 5 People You Meet In Heaven. I hope this one won't let me down.

Anyway, doing what I do best, shop online that is, I begin to browse for these books online. There were a few blogs selling them but not all 3 of them all together. Then I tried Mudah.my. and found this so-called bookstore selling all kind of books. And the best part, he has 3 books that I wanted! I quickly texted him and he replied that he only have 2 books in hand. Which was a bummer! So I said I will take them all 3 if you can find the other book. Then he said he will reply back to me soon.

And fortunately, he did have it! So the price for all 3 books inclusive Registered Post is RM75. I'd say it's such a bargain! and they are all new books!

3 days later (which is today), I received them wrapped nicely in a brown paper.

Am soooo excited to read them!! I know these books sudah lama daahh.. But it's worth waiting :)

Hi guys. Sorry i've been long silence. As you all know, I am now is like a bomb timer, ready to explode. So nothing much interesting thing happened lately other than me sitting at my mom's home and taking care of Hariz, feeding myself fats and weighing 76kg and doing my blog design job.

And everytime I open this blog, I said to myself "bila lah haku nak update blog ni." It's been too long. And when we stopped doing something for a loooonng time, we kinda get, well, rusty.

So tonight, after settled installing 1 blog design, I've decided to take a break from blog designing and write something here. And I always like to start with photos.

I've been wanting to blog about this little cooking thing we did sometime months ago. It's chicken Parmigiana (thanks to Iza for the easy peasy recipe!) and cheese baked ~~mussels~~ scallop (ini pakai hentam. Janji sedap :P)

Taraa!!! Presenting the chicken parmigiana!! Sangat sedap and my hubby soh buat 6 chicken breasts at one time!! That's for lunch and dinner all together! :P

And a few months before, my mom went to Semporna, Sabah for a trip and she brought back some 'kerang' (that's what she claimed to be) and this "kerang" has been in our freezer for ages! I just wasn't really interested to cook the 'kerang' because I don't know what to do with it! Until my mom came for a visit and decided to take them out from the fridge. And once she unwrapped the paper, I was like "makk!!! why didn't you say it was ~~mussels~~s Scallop! !!!!' hiyaa.. kalau idak dah lama dah masak :P

Hahaha.. anyway, i just blend some garlic mixed with butter and spread them on the mussles. Then put some mozzarella and parmesan cheese on it, and baked them. There were about 50 pieces of them so we baked them all! ~~Urmm bytheway, these are called mussels right? Maybe the smaller version?~~ It's called scallop!! Thanks Ella!

I haven't been doing a lot of cooking lately. Heck I haven't been doing a lot of things! Just chained myself to the chair and mengadap my laptop. Don't ask me when this baby will come out because I don't know either! Edd is suppose July 9th. I guess we'll just have to wait for her to come out :)

Wordless Wednesday #12 - It's Banane!

We haven't been having problems with Hariz sleeping patterns since he turns 1 year old. It's always been 9pm bedtime and woke up at 7.30am or 8.00am. For that, my husband and I feel really grateful and we fully utilized the extra free time we had every night to do all the works.

But lately, 1 week ago to be precise, his behave started to change so sudden. Putting him to bed has never been this hard. He will scream and cries like we are abusing him! Know what will stop him from doing that? If I sit next to his cot, holding his hands, singing, tepuk tepuk until he fell asleep. I don't mind doing this but the new baby is coming out soon! I can't have this behavior when the baby arrive!??!

I don't know how long this will last. We did the cry-it-out method again last night like we did to him when he was 10-11 months old. We let him cry his lungs out for merely 15 minutes and finally he fell asleep on his own. I never thought we're going to do this again at his time of age.

But at 3am, he woke up again screaming, reaching his arms out for me. I asked him ' kenapa hariz?? why are you crying??" because i think i heard him said 'tattooott" (takott). I think. I don't know. I was feeling drowsy. So I keep him in his cot and recite ayat qursi for a few times. Just when I thought he was already asleep, he woke up and cries again when I start climbing to my bed. In the end I just lift him and put him next to me. I think he fell asleep sometime at 4am.

I don't know if this happens because of the new baby coming or something new about his behavior. He's 1 year and 8 months old by the way. My only worry is if this behavior continues when the new baby arrives. We must find a solution before the day comes. Help?

I thought of making this entry as Wordless Wednesday since today is Wednesday but I have so many things to say. So no WW today :P

Anyway, this is my current situation. I'm at 36 weeks and 4 more weeks until my delivery. But I have this some kind of fear that this baby would come out anytime soon. Hariz came out 2 weeks earlier than edd. There's no reason for this baby to came any later. Right?

I still am working and going to the office but no longer driving myself to the office. Kalau terberanak tengah jalan camnaa?? :P

Well anyway, we still haven't decide where to deliver this baby. But it has to be Alor Setar la. Tapi hospital mana tak tau lagi. Yeah I know, Hariz dulu berbulan-bulan plan bagai nak rak. Yang 2nd one ni, macam boleh pulak tunggu-tunggu. Kesian baby. huhuhu

Oh in case you're wondering, we'll be getting a girl. Insyallah :) I've already bought a few stuff for girls (ya know, pinky-pinky stuff. Florals. Cannot tahan lah. So cute! :P) some of them I don't think we even gonna be needing it :P

As for Hariz, he's getting bigger and wiser now.At 1 year and 7 months old, he can speak quite clearly. Which only his parents can understand :P But his still missing few molars at the bottom. Kinda hard for him to feed on solids like yang keras2.

People kept saying he's getting thinner now. Well I guess that comes with the age. Being so lasak and all. Makan dok sah kata laa.. Semua benda dia nampak semua nya "naak naakkk" "naakk naakkk".

He loves my big belly. He kept pointing at it and says, "baybeeee" and start kissing it. Aww.. I'm sure he will be a good big brother. :)

There are still things me and my hubby not sure of when we have the 2nd baby. Where Hariz should sleep, how's Hariz when I'm starting on my confinement, Will the baby keep Hariz awake if they were to sleep in the same room? Where should we send this baby when I've started working because Hariz's nursery is already full! Should Hariz still be sleeping in his play pen? and more how, where, questions that we haven't yet find the answers. But I guess, insyallah, everything will turn out fine eventually. It;s only a matter of time.

And to those who have been making orders for blog design, I'm sorry that I have to put it aside for awhile because of my condition. I've already emailed everyone regarding this and thank you for those who are willing to wait. I really really appreciate that :)

Ordering Pizza has never been this fun!

I can say that I'm one of the Domino's Pizza's regular customer. We always order pizza from our home and some time, they will throw us some freebies like free breadstix or drinks or anything! That's one of the things I love about Domino's Pizza.

But all these while, I've been ordering Pizza through the phone. So today, for the 1st time, I made an online order from my office. Yes. I am that hungry :P

I never thought online order could be this fun!!! They even have this GPS tracker to I can track where my pizza is. Isn't that cool???

Final post on Singapore Trip!

Finally! Took me almost 2 months to post this entry. *sigh*. I know. It took me forever to do everything now. That includes blog design. *ampuunn*. Anyway, some more photos of my no-so-recent trip to Singapore. We went to visit the new landmark for Singapore, the Marina Sands. But first, we headed to the Singapore City Gallery. This is where you can find the masterplan for the whole Singapore development and even models of the development! I wonder how long do they take to make all the models. Look at them!

Next, we went to the Singapore National Museum. The building is a mixture of colonial and modern design.

There was this one exhibition area, and the theme was 'beauty in black'. They showcase some of this famous dresses designed and worn by famous people The only name I know was Karl Lagerfield :P The designed the display looking like a runway.

Next, to the Marina Sands. This building consists of 3 towers. Casino, Hotel and Apartment. The viewing deck/sky deck is open for public. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance of the tower for S$20 I think.

on the viewing deck. On the right side is where the famous infinity pool is. You don't get that effect from this view though.

Finally, we went to this public housing called The Pinnacle @ Duxton.

This public housing design is really amazing. With sky gardens interconnecting with the towers. If you're wondering what is public housing, it is a development for to make affordable homes for the residence. In Malaysia, we called it 'rumah flat' :P

If this is how 'affordable housing in Malaysia is, count me in!

Well I guess that's all peeps! On Singapore trip I mean.

This post is specially dedicate to my husband's beloved bike. Which was taken-without-his-consent 2 weeks ago at our very own home.

We only noticed it was missing when we saw our front grill was wide open and the lock was missing too. My husband usually hanged his bike between the grill and our front door. (Theres this space where we have our shoe rack, his lawnmower and a bunch other stuff).

The person who took it must have been eying this bike for quite sometime. No shoes were missing though. Except his Bosch lawnmower.

It's a sad thing, this 'loss' because Hariz's seat is attached to it and is missing too! I know this can be replaced but it's more like a sentimental value.

It's okay Hariz. I guess no more bike riding for time being. He must have missed his evening ride.

Birthday cum majlis merisik?

Okla.. I would call it a family gathering since all of us were there plus my sis's bf's family. Mom planned to have just makan-makan. I'm just happy to be home when there's an event because there will be plenty of food for us! :D On that day alone, all we did was eat and eat and eat. Fuh!

FYI, I'm now at 32 weeks and 6 days. But I can barely do anything now except moving my fingers to type. Im really looking forward for this baby to come out because we will be having a girl in the family. Insyallah :)

Do pray for my safe delivery and I will try my best to keep this blog from being dormant. :)

Taste like from the van they say?

Eversince I saw the advertisement, I couldn't help it but tempted to try wether it does taste like what they said, from the Milo van. Oh have you guys tried the Milo from the van/truck? In that small papercup? Yummy right? No matter how I do it at home, it will never tastes like one until they launch this new product.

I bought the 6 pack box cost me RM4.90 per box. (well actually cost my hubby :P). Got home, quickly get a glass and ice cold water.

This small box consist of 6 packs.

Pour the sachet.

and pour ice cold water. In this case, I didn't pour it till the glass is full because I know, this Milo was not made to be thicker. Then stir it well.

My verdict? Does it tastes like its from the van?

My answer will be NO!

It doesn't taste like it at all! but it is good :) Just make sure you don't pour cold water glass full. Or else, jadik tawaq.

I can't remember when was the last time I had them on. and now the heels started to grow this green fungus!!! yucckk!!! But the weird thing is, they grew at the back of the heels, which is not leather. No fungus on the leather itself though. I tried wiping them off with wet cloth but they keep coming back.

I don't think I'll be wearing them for another few months. huhuhu

I bet everyone is already talking about this most awaited wedding of the century, the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Although I don't know Kate but if I were one of the Londoners, I would love to have Kate as my queen. I love Kate. I think she has everything to that fit for a queen. She has the look, the style, the smile, the hair, heck, everything! I love watching Kate more than Prince William himself :P.

If I were a prince, I would have Kate as my princess. If any of the princes out there want to get a wife, Kate is their princess.( okay. This is to show how much I like Kate. Nothing more :P)

When I was little, I had a crush on Prince William ( i bet everyone does!) and Princess Diana has always been my icon. Her death almost a decade ago really shook us in that tragic accident. Leaving Prince William & Harry behind. But they knew that the whole world mourn for their mother's death.

And now having Kate in the royal family, brings back the memory of Princess Diana. I bet if she is still alive, she will be happy to have Kate in their family.

I'm really looking forward to witness this memorable wedding and share the happiness with the world. Thanks to Astro, I would never miss this chance. Unless there's a freak thunderstorm on that very day :P

My childhood crush

I grew up with Casper, Now and Then, Backstreet Boys, 'N SYNC as my crushes. I bought magazines like Beep Bop, Teen, and ape ape lagi lah yang ade gambar and posters of all these cute boys as the covers. I will go nuts just looking at their photos!! Likee "aahhhhhh!!!!!! waaaahhhh!!!!!!!" and more of "ohhhss and ahhhs". Budak-budak zaman sekarang ade lagi ke minat-minat ni?

Anyway, among them yang paling-paling I had major crush was Devon Sawa!!! Waaaahhhh!!! cute nyerrrr!!!!

He 1st starred in Casper as Casper himself. Giler comeeellll!!!! hahahaha... With that hair terbelah dua kan.. and look at him now.. still a hunk? Think I like him better when he was a child actor.

A another childhood crush has to be JB! Jonathan Brandis! Used to watched him in this series Ocean Girl. Giler cutee!!! Unfortunately he died few years back. It was suicide. Something like he hanged himself. I don't know why a guy like that with that look could end his life that way. May he rest in peace.

and last but not least, Brad Renfro!!! Arghhhh I will melt just to look at his eyes... giler comeell!!! and look at him now!!! still a hunk!!!!!

But that was all yesteryear.. I don't think I have that kind of excitement anymore with any actors or singers. Dah tua kot? Cuma tetiba teringat this childhood actors :)

How I met my husband

hi kak ida, sy suka ur blog especially ble u cte sal hariz,bout baby things, being a mom,shopping n so on, so, heh,cn u share wit all of us bout your love story? hw u meet ur beloved husband..i'm sure there are many sweets and unforgettable moments right.

I got this question via my formspring some time last week. I didn't quickly reply it. Because I thought, I haven't really share with you how I met my husband. It was really, to me, one of those fairy tales story that I thought only exist in the story book or tv. I've told a few of my friends of how I met my husband, they were all like... "waahh.. it's like one of those hopeless romantic movie!" hahaha..! Actually I can't believe it either! Oh well, anyway, off with the story. eh korang nak tahu tak? Kalau tak mau, sila skip this entry :P

Okay, it all started when I 1st start working at where I am now. That was almost 3 years ago. Back in 2007. When I 1st got interviewed, I requested to be sent to KL as I think there more challenge and wanna try different environment other than Penang (perasan padahal baru nak start keje kan :P) But my Boss insist I stay in Penang and work with him so I agreed.

FYI, I just got off a very bad relationship when I started working. I was depressed and heartbroken. But being offered a job at one of the most well establish firm, has really saved me. I rented a very small room for RM180 per month before I find my own apartment here in Penang. Most of my friends were all in KL and imagine how do I cope with life after studies ALONE! It was painful I have to admit. But life goes on.

Anyway,If you ask me do I believe in love at first sight, my answer is NO. It has to be a few sights before I really fell in love :P

My husband, who then was known as Zul, he just being transferred from KL to Penang on that very year. So he is the new face we've been seeing in the building. My colleague first noticed him as he often walked pass our front door (since our office is in the way to the toilet). And you know la, mula la they were like "hey..ada new guy.. good looking... bla bla bla bla".. but I just ignored (konon tak berminat lah kann). Then I saw him at the cafe eating alone (he always does) and sitting right in front of the cafe entrance. So you will notice him when you entered the door. You won't miss it!

So as the day passed, we keep bumping each other at the cafe but never spoken. Just *ehem* stared at each other :P Until one day, I was about to go back to my office through the staircase, suddenly he was right behind me. And it is really awkward when a guy behind your back so I turned around and said my 1st few words to him

" are you new here? Tak pernah nampak pon?"

hehehe.. okay so I yang 1st tegor dia. Tak salah kan? :P

I remember it was sometime in November 2007, and few months later, he said he wanted to meet my parents, and I was like, hah? what for?? (lagi mau tanya kan) and we got engaged on February 2008. That was like 3-4 months after we've known each other.

When I told my girls about the news, they were all quite surprise with my decision. They keep asking am I sure about this. I was not. But I know, he is the one. How do I know? Well, I just knew :)

You know during the time we were being engaged, we have been tested with a lot of things and there are moments when I had doubt about the relationship. But I guess, it is fated and Allah had made plans for both of us.

We got married 6 months after our engagement, which was in August 2008. And alhamdulillah, 3 years later, we are now blessed with 1 kid and 1 on its way :)

Looking at the time line from the day we've met and got married, it didn't take us long to know each other and decided to get married :)

Kesimpulan nyer adik-adik, jangan main-main bercinta kat sekolah. Belajar dulu. Dah kerja nanti insyallah jumpa orang baik-baik that can take care of you and your family. :) Pesanan dari kak Ida yer...

I just turned 28 last April 6th. (yeay. happy birthday to me!) We had a mini celebration on that very day. Dinner at Kenny Rogers and went straight to Switch to get my birthday present :D Will reveal it at the bottom of this entry :D

Anywho, my dad and 2 sisters were here in Penang for the weekend. So I kinda 'asked' my dad do treat me for my birthday. :P We had lunch at TGiF and do a little shopping and that's it! At the end of the day, I realize I couldn't walk that much anymore. I was exhausted sleep at 11pm. That's kinda early for me. Normally it's either 12 or 1 :P

We had so much fun and Hariz was sport! He just loves to eat! He can actually eat anything and everything! and oh, he likes to share his food with everyone else :)

At this stage of my pregnancy, shopping for clothes is no longer my best of interests. I just wear whatever I can salvage from my wardrobe. And I still haven't really shop for our newborn which is this July! insyallah. Last time we have it scanned, it shows, well, a girl and I still hope it will stays that way :P

Whoever here thinks that they are fat and huge and big, well think again!!! Look at me!! I can't believe I look sooo big in this photo! It's the top. Definately the top.(in denial :P) I keep reminding myself this is just temporary. Huhuhuhu.

Eventhough my whole family wasn't there on my birthday, I am still blessed knowing they will always be there for me and loving me.

oh.. almost forgot about the present :P

I kinda 'wished' this to my hubby and the next thing i know 'jom pegi tengok your wacom!' i was like.. yeayyY!!!!!!!!

So here it is, Wacom Bamboo Pen for my 28th birthday. This is too another way of showing how supportive he is with my design job :) (actually he said, i invested this so make sure you make a good return out of it) hehehe.. just kidding! No really. He said that. :P

So here's to another great year for me and my little family with another addition to come soon!!!!

I've been hibernating..

I know a few have been asking why this blog has been sort of abandoned. It has not! I still keep update my blog once ~~in a blue moon~~ in awhile. :)

Okay okay. The truth is, I'm so tied up with works not just at the office, but at home too! Do you know I am now a part time blog designer? :) Well it just happened :) You can read the rest of the story here.

Anyway, I decided to became serious in this blog design thing and have my name registered with SSM a few weeks ago. So it's official!! :D

So this is where all the magic starts to happened. Not so cozy thought but I'm lovin it :)

Thinking of upgrading the banquet desk to a more sturdy and solid desk. Ni nak padam guna eraser pon goyang habis meja :P

By the way this is an old photo. Taken the very first week when I set up this workstation. Now the plain white desk has this doodle from my little 'artist' called Hariz. Habis dia conteng meja haku. huhuhu.

I was thinking to do a bit of decorating in this so-called art room but time has never been my companion. Maybe when I have an extra bit of time eh?

Things about Singapore that amazed me

When I first arrived in Singapore, I can never stopped from being 'ooh.. aahhh' over their vast development. Anyway, next building visited was this just-completed cluster homes called Mont Timah located at Hindede Drive, Singapore. Why it is called cluster? There are 4 units in one cluster. Each unit consists of 5-storey, 2 basement carparks ,a private lift and roof terrace. 3 or 4 units came with private pool/jacuzzi.

I heard the price of each unit was S$6mil. or something around that.

Then we are off to visit this SOTA building (School or Arts, Singapore).The Kirk Terrace city-campus building was built by WOHA Architects, Singapore.

Later we visited another art school called LaSalle College of Arts (boy. they do have a lot of art school here don't they?)This building was design by RSP Architects. I like the idea of green space at the center of the building where students and people could just sit around, read books, talking and kids playing. It's open for public use too.

Hello gorgeous! I know I haven't been updating this blog for quite something (blowing dust). The truth is, I'm so occupied with work at the office and my design blog which has been part of my night shift :P

Anyway, I went to Singapore recently for a study trip organized by my company. It's an annual trip where we will visit some of the architecture in the country we are visiting.

So the 1st building we visited of the day was Mr. Rene Tan's residence Nestled in a delightful suburb of Watten Estate. Mr. Rene Tan is one of the founder of RT+Q architect firm in Singapore.

Anyway, this house is originally a terrace house and has been converted into sort of like a semi-d with a wading pool on the side of the house.

He was kind enough to give all of us a private tour of this house. This house has been featured in numerous books and magazines.

When we 1st reach this house, the 1st thing we saw was this cantilevered box on the 1st floor of the house and wondered what is inside the room.

His daughter's room! It was more like a showcase area with nicely arranged toys and books. I want this for my boy! :P

Have you renew your IC yet?

I took a half day leave yesterday to go to make an IC replacement. Why? Well I sort of, kind of lost my IC. I know. Clumsy me. I just noticed that it was gone when I was about to check in my flight to KL. I was a bit nervous there when my IC was nowhere to be found! Luckily driver's license is accepted for check in. Phew! Or else, I would've missed my flight and the presentation in KL!!!! Giler!!!

This is my 1st time making an IC replacement so I have no idea whatsoever on the procedure. Luckily JPN's website made an elaborate description on how the procedure is like.

Since it was my 1st time and I lost it or tercicir, I had to make a police report saying that , well , I lost it. or it can be stolen, or whatever the reason you want it to be. The police report didn't take long to have it done. They do require details like How, When, Where : How the IC was gone, When did you realize it was gone, Where did you realize it was gone. So it's kinda crucial for you to have these 3 details. At the police station , they will type the letter for you and you have to pay RM4 for the report.

Later I went to JPN to have my IC done. I had to pay RM110 for the IC as RM100 for the fine of losing the IC and RM10 for the application. But if you've lost it for the 2nd time, it will be RM200 for the fine. 3rd time, RM300 and so forth. Kesimpulan nyer, sila jaga IC anda elok2 kalau tanak kena bayar beratus-ratus. Buat duit shopping lagi bagus. Huhuhuhu.

So anyway, the best part of making this IC is the photoshoot :P Too bad this IC has to be made when I'm 5 month pregnant and I look sooo gemok! huhuhu.. Takpela.. I think it is still okay than my old IC. Macam hantu!

I wasn't sure whether we need to wear black scarf for the photo but I wore it anyway just to be safe. Mana tahu kang dia suruh pakai tudung hitam provided kan dah tak cun gambar :P

So now I've been carrying temporary IC. I hope in 3 weeks I will be getting my new IC as they promised. :)

This is actually the 2nd part of my best friend's wedding , Pieja. (the reception). We were all suppose to wear purple for the wedding BUT since I've been pregnant and getting bigger, I can hardly find the best outfit for it. I found this maxi dress (something like kaftan) but the material is stretchable cotton with beaded around the neckline. I wore purple scarf to match with it. Okla kan? ade jugak purple :P

So the bride wore something like turqoise blue (more like a blue to me) or was I color blind?

Zaffa (left) had to leave early so this is the only photo with her in it. Nak pegi Padang Beso katanya. Takot tutup kot :P

Anyway, I love this photo of Hariz and my girls. Oh he knows how to pose in front of the camera. When I say 'Harizzzz... look (aiming the camera)', he will immediately smile. Perfect!

Now I had to juggle between this blog and KraftyPalette. I'm trying to keep up but I think I'm a little left behind.

On another note, I will be away for 3 days starting this Friday for a study trip organized by my company. This is an annual event for designers and architects. Last year's trip was to Ho Chi Minh city. So this year is to Singapore. I've been wanting to go since before I was pregnant. I hope I could still walk down that Orchard road without any trouble :P

A dear friend of mine got married over the weekend. I took an AL just to be at her solemnization on Friday.I would never missed my best friends' wedding! We've been friends since we were 14 and 13 years later, we are still good friends and always been keeping in touch with each other. We're practically like sisters. Something that I really treasure with my whole heart.

Pieja (the bride) told me she had this shoe custom made along with another pair. I was like 'they can do that?' Where have I been all these while?? The workmanship is so good. She said they can do any kind of shoes! OMG! I should've done this long time ago! Since I've been having trouble finding the perfect shoes!

Okay enough with the shoes. I wore this grey kaftan bought from this blog 3 weeks prior to the wedding. Nasib baik sempat sampai because it's a pre-order kaftan. I've tried chiffon type of kaftan before but I don't think that kind of material is suitable for pregnant women. I don't know. It just look weird. Especially at the belly part. Maybe because it's too soft. So it's kind of stick to your belly :P

The mosque is just a walking distance away from her home so we got there just in time after Asar. Luckily it rains right after we step foot in the mosque. Phew!

To our surprise, there were 2 more couples to be solemnized on that day! Imagine the crowd!

A surprise birthday

My dad and my baby sister was here for the weekend. Dad had to go to this golf thingy and along the way, he brought me our maid to help me with the house chores. Some huge pile of foldings and ironings and toilet scrubbing and floor mopping. Thank god for that! I did that the other weekend and ended up lying on my bed all day long because of the back pain. Tsk.

Anyway, Saturday was his birthday. So I decided to make him a little surprise. I went to the Secret Recipe and bought these 4 slices of cake. 1 whole is a little too big for the 4 of us.

That evening, I heard a few phone calls from my other siblings wishing him happy birthday except me. I just kept my silence he must be thinking that I forgot. Oh well :P

I don't know how many candles should I get for 56th birthday. 5 big candles and 6 small ones? Think that's a little too much for 4 slices, don't you think? So I took 1 instead. Just for the sake of it :P

Here's to another decade of another birthdays. Happy birthday Abah! I love you!!

My very first colored contact

Call me stoneage, but I just have the urge to try on colored contact lens since few weeks ago. At the age of 27 ++ (I'm turning 28 in April btw *hint* *hint*). I did some research on what brand is the best so I choose Freshlook.

I had trouble choosing the colors because I don't want it to be too eye popping or too subtle (then what's the point of wearing colored contact right?). Plus the models in the Freshlook pamphlets don't seem to be helping a lot because we're asian with black/dark brown pupils. So I wasn't quite sure how it's gonna look like on me. Then the optician suggested Grey because it's the most popular color (Grey ya. Not Sterling Grey).

The 1st moment I open the box, I was like, okay, this is it. The moment of truth. Wear it or leave it. So here I am, with my 1st color contact lens from Freshlook in Grey.

I was little relief it wasn't that eye popping and not too weird on me.

But the only problem for me when I 1st started putting the color contact lens on, my vision is not really that clear. I kept seeing those Grey color around the lens. It's like I'm having cataract of something. Is this suppose to be normal? Will I ever get used to it? But apart from that, it is so comfortable. No irritation whatsoever. (I've got dry eyes. Kinda hard for me to wear any kind of contact lens)

So what do you guys think of the new look?

Bought it 1 box = 1 pair = 1 month = RM 50. 3 boxes = 3 pairs = 3 months = RM120. Since it's my 1st time, 1 bought 1 box. Maybe next time I can buy more! Maybe in different colors! :P

On make up

I did tweet the other day that I was looking for a new make up brush. Well actually a make up brush. Just for the eye. Saje ngada nak beli 1 set :P

Anyway, I went to Gurney and walked in this beauty shop called SHINS. I was just browsing and the 1st thing I saw was this Ecotools brushes.

Unfortunately, they don't have the sponge like brush I was looking for. They are all made of bamboo. I asked her show me the best brand for eye brush and she gave me this Basic. Cost me RM10 for it. I bought a liquid eyeliner too from Bloom for RM50. and since I need a foundation, I bought L'oreal liquid foundation. and the rests were my purchase a week before. Saje nak masuk skali kan. Bagi meriah :P

I used to wear Maybelline liquid eyeliner so when the promoter said this is really easy to take off, just peel it off, i wanted to try. and the reason I chose L'oreal for foundation, because it says for anti-wrinkle :P
It's not that I have any lines or anything, it's just I used this foundation only around the eyes before applying eyeshadow. :)

I did a little DIY last weekend. Bought myself this plastic drawer at Tesco to organize all my *ehem* so called make up product so it would be easy for me to look for it. I think it is very convinient rather than stuff them all in the big drawer. Don't you think? Looks pretty neat huh? (well my collection tak banyak pon. I'm not an avid make up wearer :P)

and instead of leaving my brushes in its pouch, I've decided to have them in this jar from the mayonaisse bottle. :P I've clean it thoroughly okay! Siap rendam air garam tuuu..( to peel off it's sticker).

Ahh.. I guess that's pretty much all about my make up stuff (itu je?) yup. It's only this few weeks I've started to grow fond in make up. I even put on some to work! That's really something that maybe, because of the pregnancy? Could it be? I don't know. Or maybe I just have the awareness that i-am-pale-like-a-zombie-so-please-do-something-about-it to myself :)

I've always been a fan of Sugarscarf since the started their business in 2009. It's either for window shop or to purchase. I've bought their first inner (u know yang layer2 tu), and I've loved it!

So when they came up with this new design, it was very intriguing . Especially after seeing Ms. Ami wears it. One word. Gorgeous!

I bought 3 colors all together, Black, Dark brown and dark Grey (play with the safest colors 1st) and received it last Friday. Only today I;ve got the chance to wear it.

What do you think?

What is the best thing you should do when it's 4.30 am and you can't sleep? Blogging of course!

This entry was meant to be posted few weeks ago but somehow, I just didn't have the time to hit the 'publish' button. Yeah I'm that busy.

Anway, last Chinese New Year was a blast for us. Well at least for me because one, we got to go back to our hometown and come back Penang and meet my old friends back in uni days.

The early plan was to have a small get to together in a restaurant somewhere in Penang. But really, when day came to near, these few people manage to show up.

Me and Wan were heading to my boss's housewarming cum open house at Tanjung Bungah so we decided to meet at Gurney Plaza.

Group 1, Firdaus aka Dodos, wife and kid. Why I called it Group? Because we were suppose to meet TOGETHER but the other 'group' was slightly delayed. We had a little chat and tanya khabar etc.

Dodos has to rush back home to Perak and we still had a little time before heading to my boss's. Luckily this group arrived just in time. Meet Pitt and Iryd and daughter Lana.

Hariz has this thing about other babies. He likes to kiss!!Ayoo!! abis la mama Hariz. Kena kejar ngan mak bapak diaorang mama tak tauuu.

So I guess that's that for my Chinese New Year's story. Will try to update more later. Got few design job to complete within this week!! Will blog about that too!! can't wait!!! :D

Anyway, we did a little shopping today. (don't we all love holidays?), i bought 2 shawl which i think is unique and not too odd for me to wear. It's sumthing like crumple shawl (is that what they call it?) , but i didn't get the chance to wear it yet. Luckily i have this model who without a doubt, the best model for this hijab.

A tower of pants!

I've been meaning to do a spring clean on my wardrobe but keep on holding it until I just had it today. So I left Hariz with Wan, head on upstairs and start pulling up those sleeves.

This time I had to clean up all my pants collections because well, I won't be needing them now. Not until I got my figure back which is in few months time? (I wish!)

Most of my pants are size 28 - 29. As my belly ~~and ass~~ getting bigger now, I've decided to put them away temporarily so I won't be so frustrated looking at all those pants not being able to wear them.

I just realize I have one helluva collection of pants! Jeans alone is, I don't know, 20? Don't get me start with work pants.

I just passed the nausea and morning-evening sickness stage. So I'm always looking forward for food. If you've been following me on twitter, you know how much I tweet about how hungry I was all the time :P. The weird thing is, I haven't been putting on weight! It was still almost the same as I was before pregnant. I wonder where are all the fats went.

So today is Friday meaning longer lunch break! Been waiting for this day to come! Need to do a little shopping on my own. Can't really enjoy shopping now when you're with a toddler. Ugh! God knows how tempting it was to walk by all those stores without going in. It's not that I can't, but already not in the mood because of the lost of energy from pushing the stroller, push and pull it off the elevator and chasing around the little one.Still not complaining though *sigh*

Anyway, a little update on my design blog. Feel free to drop by and have a look around. I just completed 1 package of wedding favors as a special request :) My 1st (and hopefully not the last!) wedding cards/favors design. My customer loves it so much and that really matters the most!! The happiness and satisfaction of my customer :) I will reveal the design soon as requested by the owner which is after the wedding :P

I guess I need to get back to work and finish whatever I left off so I could go out to shop! :P

Meeting Adam Zahran for the first time

Last CNY's holiday was the most hectic but fun holidays for us. We got back to our hometown on the first 2 days of holiday and I've already had big plans for it.

I said to Wan the only activity I could and would do when I'm back in Alor Setar will be stay at home and catch up with my families OR have a girls day out. So this time, I picked the later ones :)

It's kinda hard these days to be spending times with your precious girlsfriends, especially when one stucked here in the North and the rests are residing in the KL.

We've made plan to pay our dear friend (who just gave birth to a baby boy) who lived in Perlis a visit. Since there were 6 of us (including 2 toddlers), I've decided to drive my dad's mpv. yep. Don't think this 4-month-old-pregnant-lady can't drive a huge mpv! (practicing to be a soccer mom) and of course Hariz is fine in his car seat. No complains!

We reached there 45minutes later (hungry and thirsty). Luckily ada bihun goreng yang sedap. (psstt.. I tambah 3 kali. Pordon this pregnant lady plus long drive :P).

Anyway, meet Adam Zahran. Another addition the family of 3 boys :) (boleh buat team bola pulak next!)

Ho yeah baby!!!

I just had this burger last Wednesday. Sebelum ni makan nasik lauk. This time ade la kelainan sket makan burger time lunch :P

This burger came in 2 flavors as usual. Chicken and beef and with french fries and salad on the side.

I wasn't so well on that day so I couldn't finish the whole burger at one go. So had to tapau the left over for me to consume later at the office :P

The beef burger is sooo thick and if you ordered chicken burger, they will give you 2 pieces! How can I ever finish that? :P

But the ABC was splendid! With ice cream on top. Ummmmm... ummmphhh! Sungguh sedap di makan tika panas terik :)

Okay. I don't think my belly had shown that much yet. But it's probably the.. errr.. fat? :P

My new found hapiness : Part 2

Eh ada part part pulak ek? Hehe.. Well it's not another handbag or wallet :P It's just the continuance of my recent trip to KL for a meeting and to get my so called 'new found happiness'

Anyway, I came down to KL every quarter year for our staff meeting. And recently I had to do the presentation for our Penang office. It was my 1st time on that stage after 3 years working at this company :P Imagine how nervous I was and my heart was pounding like it's gonna came out of my chest! (honestly I had this problem of speaking in front of lots of people. I tend to talk really really fast :P)

But everything went well and it wasn't so bad at all! I could do it all over again! :D

me and my colleague. we were queuing for our lunch. It was a very long queue! Nasib baik the meal was awesome!!

And later I met this wonderful mommy of 2 and also an avid blogger to get my stuff.

Finally I've met Shila in person!!! Too bad we didn't get to chat and hangout. Maybe next time you're in town? And of course I had to dragged her out of her car to get this photo. hehehe.. Thanks Shila! And really nice to finally meet you!

And she brought over this 2 gentlemen, Adam and Aiman Haris!!! Oh gosh!! Aiman is sooo adorable sleeping in his car seat. Nasib baik dia tido. Kalau idak dah gomoi2. hehehe.. and uuhh.. I've got flying kiss from Adam. Muaxx!!! Pandai dia noohhh.. Kecik2 dah pandai flying kiss.. :P

Later I did 'tawaf' the whole KLCC. From Ground Floor to the top Floor. Went to Arzu boutique, (i've never been to one), and I've never thought their price is sooo expensive! I'd rather buy one from those blogshops. Same quality and mucho mucho mucho cheaper!

So maybe next trip to KL kita buat makan-makan pulak yer bloggers? :D

My new found hapiness

I realized I've been spending too much money on things I don't really need.Like shoes, handbags, clothes, scarves to name a few! And the only one thing that I haven't really spend on is a good wallet.

I've been using the same old wallet bought from MNG (on sale!) for almost a year now and it has become, well, worn off. Because I tend to buy cheap things without ever thinking it's quality. Like they said, " it's cheap ma.. buy some more!" Yeah right *eyes rolling*

I always been a fan of marc jacobs. I think his design is fresh and not too old fashion ( and less selling fake). One item that I've been eying for quite sometime is this Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo.

Ida's 30 Days of Photos

The little boy is now grown up

I was doing a spring clean on my camera's memory card when I saw this photo. It was taken sometime early last year. It was Hariz's 1st time outing after I finished my confinement period. He was 4 months old.

Somehow every time when I look at his old photos (new born), being helpless, I just couldn't help but feeling touched, and mula la rasa nak cry. Heh. I don't know what this feeling is called. It's like, I miss his younger days.

Have you ever felt that way?

But he is all grown up now. 1 year and 3 months old. I don't know what will I feel when he is 12 years old or 18. But of course he is and always be my 'baby' :)

I just would like to keep it simple, nice and clean. And this is too the reason why I haven't been updating my blog for so long. I just can't do anything else until this baby is done!

I did the design process myself from the beginning, starting from the 3 column template, down to the header using illustrator and photoshop.

As for the post title font, will change it to the previous ones very soon. ( few technical things, need time ) :)

If you like my style, feel free to drop me a line and maybe we can work something out according to your likings :). Untill then, hope you enjoy your stay and it may take a while to adjust to my new layout but you will love it! Like I do!!!

The 15 minute feast

We attended a wedding of my junior from USM sometime last week. Since it's just nearby our house, didn't take long for us to get there. Luckily the bride & groom were just arrived and ready to sit on the 'pelamin'.

This time we I didn't get to match colour with the bride because I don't have green outfit! :P

Anyway, saw a few of my classmates there and got a chance to catch up and borak-borak kejap.

But you know, when you have a toddler with you at a kenduri, don't expect to stay long. So we came, say hi to the bride, had our meal, snap few photos while I do the chatting and off we go. Hariz just can't stay put. He just wanted to wonder around.

Sempat jugak la tanya khabar and meet few peoples yang sudah lama tak jumpa.

and of course not forgetting the couples. Fasha & Hairil (was it? lupa dah :P)

It was a hot and sunny day and these two boys were drenched in sweats! and oh, Hariz just made a big poop here. Luckily we got out sooner :P

So weekend is coming. Going to meet few newborn babies of a friend and in-law. But first, got to do some shopping! :P

New Year , New Look!

It's only day 4th on the new year of 2011. I still haven't wish you Happy New Year. Well Happy New Year! :P

New year always starts with a new resolution. For me, every year is just another year. My resolutions are meant for every day. Not just new years and of course to be better in everything I do.

So to start of this new year, first of all, I'm going to give my own blog a makeover :).

I've been with this design and layout for quite some time now. I guess it's time for me to give a face lift. A new look and feel so you know it's a new change! Well in a good way :)

As you all know, my design blog, Krafty Pallette has been up and running for almost a month. I still have yet received any orders which is fine because with work been piling up, I'm afraid blog design job has to be delayed.

But fret not, new orders are most welcome. But do expect a slight delay on delivery :)

If you've notice, I've started changing my entry font. Wanna make it look a little bit more formal but still has it's playful side :) What do you think?

So like every where I go now they are all YES. Year End Sale. Do you think this is the great time to save which is shop during sale? Absolutely not! All I know, you are tend to buy things you don't really need whenever you see this sale banner everywhere you go. For instance, do you need an anti-wrinkle cream when you hardly had any wrinkles? But it's on sale!!!! How can I not have it??!!!

Yeah, that's what happened to me recently. *sigh*

I've been pacing in front of this Himalaya store for quite a number of times when I saw the 80% sign. Finally I've decided to have a look what the fuss is all about.

Indeed they were having a great 80% off!!! (on certain product that is)

Than I quickly ask :

Me : What item is 80% off?" (everyone should ask that now wouldn't we? :P)

Promoter : Oh.. now this anti-wrinkle cream is only RM10!

Me : (whattt???? you f*cking kidding me????) oh really?

Promoter : Yes! and this night cream is only RM6

Me : (are you sure you're not s*itting me???) owh. that cheap.

Promoter : Yes indeed. So if you want it, better take them all (there were like 6 of them on the shelves). The offer ends today (smiling)

Me : hahaha... okay.. I won't take all but i'll take both cream for now :P

So here I am, with this 2 creams that I hardly used that I bought on sale.Which is totally absurd! Wan says "laaa.. awat tak beli 10???" *eyes rolling*

On another note, we had another saving on buying a shelf. This is really a money saving shelf because Wan made it himself :)

The corner used to be empty and we thought of buying a shelf to fit in our pans and pots. But most of the shelf won't fit the corner. So finally Wan had to made one up.

Quite neat I would say *pat on his back* (seriously, I have to credit this to him because I know he is reading my blog :P . HAhaha.. I know you are! :P

So to end up my 2010, I didn't go out to celebrate or have dinner. We just sit at home and be thankful to Allah for all the things He have done for us and

Someone once asked me about facial care product that I've been using since she/he said that my skin look so healthy (she said arr.. bukan syok sendiri :P)

Honestly, my face actually isn't that healthy. If you see my face closely, there are still problems like black heads, white heads, and a little unwanted hair here and there :P

But I guess I am one of those lucky ones who's skin isn't that serious like some people may have like pimples, breakouts and etc. ( I do have that sometimes during that time of the months tho :))

As for me, I would consider my skin as combination skin since I've got a little oily around the T-zone

But it's not so serious that I need to use face blotter everytime.

Anyway, I've been using Himalaya Herbals since 4-5 years ago. That's quite a long time! The first time I had it, I just love the result. My skin have been less oily and it feels fresh everytime after using it.

Since my skin is considered as Normal, I just use this Gentle Face Wash Cream for my everyday wash.

Then apply this toner to keep the skin healthy and radiant

I use the Apricot Scrub once a week to remove the dead skin cells. Using it too often may cause your skin to break.

Then finish off with this Nourishing Cream Moisturizer.

and this Revitalizing Night Cream during the night :)

However, like most products, the results may varies to certain user. We all born with unique skin and some products may not work well to some of you.

Maybe some people, pakai air suam pon dah cukup. and some people kena pakai product yang mahal or get description from Doctors. As for me, I'm blessed just by using this product is suffice :)

The cost for each Himalaya's facial care varies from RM21 - RM30. If you're lucky, you might get it way much cheaper at some personal store like Watson's or Guardian.

Himalaya Herbals also has their own store at local shopping malls. But you won't get cheaper price there. Pelik kan?

I don't think I would be switching to other brands in the near future. Maybe once Himalaya Herbals has stops it's production, THEN I will look for other brands :P

So yesterday our company had a little makan-makan to celebrate the birthdays and farewells. (yeah all at the same time. save budget :P)

This time we had it at the Jemputree! The restaurant located just nearby our office. 10 minutes walking distance. But I drove there :P Tak larat nak jalan mak!

There we like 15 of us and the price for the luncheon is RM15 per head. The menu is :

1. Tomyam Campur

2. Oyster sauce veggie

3. Ikan Pari Asam Pedas

4. Kari Ayam

5. Sizzling Beancurd

6. Sambal ulam

7. Kerabu mangga

8. Dessert (fruits)

I would consider it quite cheap and we ate until we were totally full!

How's your Monday guys? Still having the Monday blues?
Humm.. okay.. I guess it's about time for me to say it out loud..

because I just couldn't stand people keep staring at me like "ee.. is she fat? why she's so buncit watsoever"

I'm 12weeks pregnant now :)

We're expecting our second bundle of joy sometime in July. Well that's what the gynae said. :) It could be sooner or later than July :P

Anyway, this is kinda a little too soon for me. Or even for us.

With Hariz is still 1 year old plus and me as a working mother.

I didn't expect it to be this soon but Allah has better plans for us :)

I burst in tears when I first showed my hubby the positive test kit.

I wasn't sure what went through my mind at that moment.

Scared? Unprepared? Happy? Thrilled?

But the sooner I realized that I am actually pregnant (again), I'm blessed and thankful to Allah for giving me this opportunity again to be carrying a human being in my womb. The next 7 months will be another wonderful experience for us three. So I thought :P

My 1st experience being pregnant to Hariz, I had the worst evening sickness ever. I threw up almost every evening for 4 months! And I thought the second pregnancy should be better. But it is not.

I started to have morning till night sickness everyday. But I didn't throw up tho. Just feeling nausea and sometimes vomit. I guess this will happened throughout my pregnancy regardless it's the 3rd or 4th or 5th?

This is too pretty much the reason why I have been on and off blogging for quite sometime (very lame reason I know!):P

The wedding of Tasha and Basree

Last weekend we were at our hometown to attend a wedding of a friend. Well actually friends because both bride and groom are my friends from uni.

The theme was purple for the bride's side and pastel pink for the both couple. One thing I notice about me is that I ALWAYS wears colours that match the bride's side. I mean ALWAYS! It's not like I already knew what they would be wearing. Maybe it's just instict. *shrug* Anyway I wore purple on that day :P

The wedding was held at WNS Homestay. I tell you I've never crossed my mind to a wedding here. This place is amazing! Plenty of spaces for people to makan-makan and do some performance.

I can see that Hariz had fun at the wedding. Ader gorgeous lady nak suap2 dia. That's kak vivi by the way. I met some of my juniors there too.

I had the most embarrasing moment there at the wedding. There's this guy, one of my junior, he used to be our photographer for our 1st Anniversary at the 32 @ The Mansion almost a year ago. When I was 8 month pregnant with Hariz. and he was at the wedding too. Buttt.. I didn't remember him boleh? My hubby was like

"eh.. itu bukan yang amik gambar kita kat Mansion aritu ka" (pointing at that guy)

I was like " haishhyy... bukan laa.. "

and wan still insist it was him " yer laa.. dia laaa" and that guy is already sitting in front of us senyum2.

and I still like "bukan laa.....err.. tah.. i dah tak ingat la muka diaa"

and suddenly he interrupted "betol la tu kak. saya laaa"

hohohoho.. you have no idea how flushed I was! Malu okeh.. hahaha. tapi control. Makan nasik. nom nom nommm :P

Tak sempat nak amik gambar with pengatin on their 'throne'. But we took the photo anyway. It's gorgeous! Lupa nak tanya sapa yang buat (macam laa nak buat lagi kannn :P)

Time ni Hariz dah letih kot. Dapat belon 2 bijik. It's almost 4pm and we headed home. Sampai rumah, terlupa yang kami tak amik pon doorgift yang meriah itu! Huhuhu.. takpela...Dapat belon pon jadik lerrr...

So last weekend we were in our hometown, Alor Setar. Attending a wedding (which I will blog about it later) and to fulfill my crave for crab :P ( My mom said she has to berebut ketam dengan this lady at pasar because there were not much left. hehehe) and of course my mom got 12s and that lady 4 :P

Anyway, since we were at my parent's, we decided to go for a 'date' on that Saturday night. We seldom do this these days. I mean just the 2 of us. Leaving Hariz with my mom and my sisters to play with, we thought why not? But no fancy dinner watsoever (blame it on the stuffed crab we had earlier :P), we decided to watch a movie instead.

Mind you there's not much of entertainment here in Alor Setar but they had this one good cinema called Big Cinema. and it's just a few minutes away from my home. We left home at 8.30pm to catch the 9.00pm movie. Hariz should've been sleeping by then. (he usually sleeps at 9pm - 9.30pm. nothing later than that).

Unfortunately there were only 2 movies shown that night. This Narnia and Repunzel ( I swear I should've watch Repunzel!!! *regrets*)

Anyway, the movie lasts for 2 hours (yeah that long). I would say .. err.. well.. really I'm not much of a Narnia fan. I would say Harry Potter's is much much better. My level of excitements from the beginning till the end of the movie was 1 out of 10. yeah that flat. Maybe the talking animals and kanak-kanak is too much for my *ahem* adulthood :P

So we got home at around 11pm thinking Hariz would be fast asleep by then. HA HA. I was wrong! He was happily running around with no signs of going to bed! My mom said he had 2 bottles of milk and 3 pcs of bahulu! Giler hyper dah!

And I had a tough time to put him to bed. I had to force him to sleep and I think in the end, he gave up somewhere around 12am. Haih.

So the bottom line is, Narnia sucks! Big time! hahahaha (Narnia fans please don't be mad. This is just my personal opinion. Huhuhuu :P )

I've always been a fan of pumps, flats, ballerina whatever you called it. As long as it has no heels higher than 1 inch :P

Flats works best for me because One, I had a huge feet. B, I can't really balance myself very well on heels! ( I had an experience once where my I've got twisted ankle from wearing a wedge from Blay! (totally banned that brand) and 3, I walk faster in flats! heeeee..

So during my last trip to KL, we went to the Gardens, I've decided to just do a window shop at Hush Puppies (next to Nine West). and suddenly my eyes fell on this shiny thing on the rack. I can't help myself and ask for the size and try it on. It was soooo comfortable. Like I can dance with it! and sooo friggin soft!

I had a tough time deciding whether or not to buy. but in the end, I just close my eyes and pay for it. The next thing I know, it's mine! Wohoooo!!

So I wore it today to work. It's Friday after all. It's casual day! :D

Wan keep teasing me 'tu.. batu dia dah jatuh!' and I will like 'mana?? mana???"

Ugh.. men.. they're just jealous :P

So that's my last shoes purchase for this year. Konon menutup tirai 2010 la :P Hehehe.

As if! :P

Oh just to add to that note, I am glad HP is now started to have a good sense in designing new shoes to meet the current needs and trends.

There was one time when HP's shoes only suitable for grannies. (soory grannies. no offend!). So now my eyes will be on HP. Not Clarks :P

Is going to KL called a vacation?

Going to KL for a vacation has been our annual event since 2 years ago. What's so great about KL? Why not Pangkor? or Terengganu? Some place where you can really chill and unwind? hoho.. really? Chill and unwind? Unless you don't have a 1 year old toddler that is on exploring stage, then you can unwind :P

So basically, I've been craving for the IKEA's meatball. (of all foods!!!!) I know so lame right? And somehow last week was the perfect timing for us to pack our bags and head down to KL. Another best part is, we've got free accommodation!!! Heheh.. apparently my sisters are staying in KL so apa lagi, tumpang la. Benda free. Lagi mau tunggu :P

Anyway, IKEA was the first destination once we arrived in KL. 3pm on Saturday is definitely not the best of time to go there. The queue to the car park was long but luckily, by the time we entered the car park, they closed the gate :P And we're so lucky that we found a parking space just after a few minutes.

If you are from KL, you must be shaking your head now because of the timing. Hah! Perfect! The store couldn't be any more crowd. Full with peoples taking photos, posing on the couch, talking and strolling as if they were walking at the park. *sigh*

So we quickly get the stuff we needed and headed to the cafe and boy, the queue was even worst! Don't get me start on finding seats for us.

Well to cut the story short, I managed to get my meatballs after few hours. :) Didn't managed to get any photos because we left the camera in the car. Bummer!

It's a must to take a self portrait :P

So the next day, we went to Sunway Pyramid. Just because I wanted to go to the Cotton On Kids. Unfortunately the had nothing much to offer for the boys. More towards girls I think. Arghh!!! sangat comel okeh semua the dresses! The tutus!! Kept telling myself, beli je, mana tau nanti boleh pakai. Yeah right. *eyes rolling*

I had to let this little fella loose while we were waiting for our food to arrive. Kalau idak macam cacing kepanasan! Gelisah!

I love this shot. We were just hanging out at this part of the sunway pyramid and Hariz just love to run around.

We went to Midvalley the next day with my dad because Wan went to the motorshow at the PWTC. He said the show was a disappointment. There were not many international cars (hence the word International Motorshow). Most of them were locals, Japan's and among others.

Kesian dia. Tak berbaloi stuck in traffic for more than 1 hour just to reach there and another 1 hour to get out from there.

Anyway, we had a fun filled trip this time. (minus a large hole in our pocket) :P Now I have to refrain myself from shopping for the whole month!! (do you think I could do that?)

The person behind the magic voice of Ariel

My head was stucked with this song over and over since the last week.and until yesterday I started googling for the person behind this amazing voice.

Sapa kecik-kecik dulu never watched or heard of The Little Mermaid??? Oh I'm such a hugeee fan of her! Actually all the disney Princesses. :P C'mon, don't tell me you've never imagine yourself being the princess? Kissing the prince charming..etc :P

And my favourite princess of all will be of course, Ariel :) The soundtrack is amazing. The songs are amazing. The prince is cute. Play his part very well. I mean most of the Disney's movies, the Princes appeared almost towards the end but not The Little Mermaid :P

Oh. Where was I.. Ah.. yes.. About the voice. So the voice for Ariel was done by Jodi Benson. She even sang the whole songs!! I watched the video in awed and kept thinking how amazing her voice is. Don't believe me? Ask the dishes!! (quote from Beauty and the Beast) :P

Me and my Tie Rack

I've been wanting to post about this for soo long. Even before we went to Kuching :P Had it in my draft folder for quite sometime now. Dah bersawang dah kot :P

Anyway, I started with this TR collection since early 2009 when TR scarves was such a hit! It was also my early involves in blogging. Those colorful designs, satin like material and unique patterns really caught my eyes the first time I laid eyes on them. Among few bloggers that have been such an inspiration in TR wearing are Iza, Reena, Wani and to name a few!

I used to know that this Tie Rack brand only been sold at the airport. Never came across to me at that time that they all too been sold online!

So I started googling for TR in Malaysia and found one site selling them. It was actually a fotopages and the owner was Lyn (then just another seller and now, we are friends! well technically :P)

I can't really remember berapa banyak TR yang dibeli from her :P These are among them that I could remember :

So few weeks ago, I bought another TR from the Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection. All the scarves were sent all the way from UK and reached me safely in 5 days :)

I love the bold colour and design. Bila dah sampai tu, rasa macam sayang sangat nak pakai. Because, I don't know about you, but most of my scarves dah berlubang-lubang kena pin. Huhuhu.. How to avoid that??

And this is some of my scarves collections. Divided into 2 hangers. One for squares and one for long shawls.

I really need more of this hanger bulat-bulat. Bought them at IKEA for RM25. Very useful!
