The wedding of Tasha and Basree

Last weekend we were at our hometown to attend a wedding of a friend. Well actually friends because both bride and groom are my friends from uni.

The theme was purple for the bride's side and pastel pink for the both couple. One thing I notice about me is that I ALWAYS wears colours that match the bride's side. I mean ALWAYS! It's not like I already knew what they would be wearing. Maybe it's just instict. *shrug* Anyway I wore purple on that day :P

The bride and the groom : Basree & Tasha

The wedding was held at WNS Homestay. I tell you I've never crossed my mind to a wedding here. This place is amazing! Plenty of spaces for people to makan-makan and do some performance.

I can see that Hariz had fun at the wedding. Ader gorgeous lady nak suap2 dia. That's kak vivi by the way. I met some of my juniors there too.

I had the most embarrasing moment there at the wedding. There's this guy, one of my junior, he used to be our photographer for our 1st Anniversary at the 32 @ The Mansion almost a year ago. When I was 8 month pregnant with Hariz. and he was at the wedding too. Buttt.. I didn't remember him boleh? My hubby was like

"eh.. itu bukan yang amik gambar kita kat Mansion aritu ka" (pointing at that guy)
I was like " haishhyy... bukan laa.. "
and wan still insist it was him " yer laa.. dia laaa" and that guy is already sitting in front of us senyum2.
and I still like "bukan laa.....err.. tah.. i dah tak ingat la muka diaa"
and suddenly he interrupted "betol la tu kak. saya laaa"

hohohoho.. you have no idea how flushed I was! Malu okeh.. hahaha. tapi control. Makan nasik. nom nom nommm :P

Tak sempat nak amik gambar with pengatin on their 'throne'. But we took the photo anyway. It's gorgeous! Lupa nak tanya sapa yang buat (macam laa nak buat lagi kannn :P)

Time ni Hariz dah letih kot. Dapat belon 2 bijik. It's almost 4pm and we headed home. Sampai rumah, terlupa yang kami tak amik pon doorgift yang meriah itu! Huhuhu.. takpela...Dapat belon pon jadik lerrr...

Toodles!

PAM Northern Chapter dinner at Eastin Hotel

Last Friday, if you have been following my tweet, I was a the PAM Northern Chapter dinner at the new Easting Hotel in Penang. The event started at 7pm but I was running a bit late because of the maghrib (and make up and standing in front of the mirror can't decide how to wear my scarf).

Anyway, the even started with a welcome speech by PAM Northern Chapter's chairman, Ar. Lawrence Lim Hua Kwang and later, of course, the dinner :)

We were served with chinese's 10 course meal. We were all starving and got annoyed with 1 meal at a time serving. I felt like I could eat the whole table!

The food was, well, not so bad. Maybe because we were too hungry to notice?

The male colleague of mine. Handsome eh? FYI, they are all single except the one on the far left :P

Seriously, when they told me about the dinner, I remembered that I've got nothing to wear at all!! I mean nothing suitable for the dinner. Takkan nak pakai baju raya kot? So I just wear this beaded purple top with black inner and black pants.

Oh and the shoes. Hehehe.. Do you like it? Bought it prior to the dinner. I've got nothing to wear!!!! (alasan)

It's perfect for a formal event and to the office! I've never had any close-toe shoes before. Betol! Tak tipu!

So why not??

And oh, I had to hide the box and the paperbag in my boot to avoid from my hubby seeing it :P

Wore the shoes at work today. I love love love love love it!!

I used to wear size uk 7 but I bought uk8 this time around because they tend to , well, shrunk. I know if it's leather they said it will expand. I tak percaya.I bought 3 pairs before and they are all somehow shrunk! (or that my feet is getting bigger?? eh??)

Celebrating Eid with friends

Raya kan sebulan?Kan kan?

Last Thursday was a public holiday as our country celebrated Malaysia Day. Me and Wan decided to stay home and invite few friends over for a little makan-makan. Niat nak buat open house tapi macam tak larat. We were still exhausted from our trip back from JB. So we just 'open' our doors and just welcoming whoever is, well, coming! :P

I stayed up until 4am the night before to prepare the dishes. Takdela banyak pon. Simple-simple je like makaroni bakar (wajib ade), spaghetti (wajib ade jugak), brownies and sardine roll which I just learned how to made it :P

This will be the 1st time my girlfriends ever reached my home with their family.
l-r : dilia, k'own and moi

My journey from North to South on Hari Raya

All this just to be with our beloved family on the Hari Raya :)
We celebrated our 1st day of Raya in our hometown in Alor Setar. Since my whole family is already in JB on the 1st day of Raya, we had our Raya at Wan's side.

As usual, family portrait session is a must on every Hari Raya, don't you agree? I really love it here because the house is actually in the middle of the paddy field. The view is much much nicer if the paddy were green but it's still looks okay right? :D Suasana kampung gitewwww :P

Wan's side of the family. 4 brothers and 1 sister.Hariz was asleep when the photo was taken. Kesian nak kejut dier pulak.Letih beraya kot.
and later that day, I went to Maslia's for a raya visit. She is the only friends I've ever get to visit during Raya. Yang lain semua balik kampung. Huhuhu. Notice Hariz pants? Dah kotor dah so pakai short je :P

The day after, we flew to JB to be with my family pulak. Photo taken on the 3rd day of Raya. So most of them dah tak pakai baju raya.
Hariz masih beraya okeh. Hehehe.. My mom bought the sampin for Hariz so managed to put it on in JB je.

More photos coming. :)

The 9/11 tragedy coincide with my Eid celebration

How cliche!!

That's all I could say about my raya celebration this year.

but we still had fun, despite of all that :)

Let me start my raya post with this story ya?
So please bear with me.

We celebrated our 1st day of Eid in our hometown in Alor Setar and headed to Penang to catch the 1610hrs flight on the 2nd day of Eid to JB, which is on 11th September. We got out of the house at 1400hrs in seberang jaya which normally takes only 30mins drive to the airport but to our surprise, the traffic was  bumper to bumper even before the toll. Apparently, there were TNB cables on fire on the bridge. We thought the traffic wasn't so bad and pray for the best. [more on the news]

...............................................................................
until at 1530, we were still on the bridge! I was like 'hot worm' (cacing kepanasan) because we might missed our flight! I called everyone, the airport, Airasia to hold the plane! (yeah it sounds ridiculous but I was desperate!) but of course they WON'T do that. Not can't but WON'T.

Finally we reached the airport at 1545 and I was running like a madwomen with 2 luggage to the check-in counter, hoping I could still made it. The female behind the Airasia counter said I did't make it eventhough there's still 20minutes left.

I was really desperate and the next minute, I was actually begging the female to let me check-in. I was sooooooo frustrated and furious at the same time because no matter how I begged, she won't let me check in.

Apparently, I was not the only one who missed the flight. There were almost 30 more people going to JB that missed the flight! How can they not let us check in??!!! What did they suggested? Buy new ticket lah! (they're really bloodsucking company)

I was this close to give up going to JB but after that much trouble and afterall, it's Raya, we went ahead buying new ticket, but we had to transit from PEN - KL and KL-JB. Imagine from 1400hrs and arrive in JB at close to 2200hrs. We wouldn't mind if it's just the 2 of us, but with little Hariz tagging along, it's really tiring & exhausting for him. Poor baby :(

*sigh*
I know it's raya and I should be blogging about how happy and wonderful my raya was but I just want and need to share this with you, my blog readers. My dissapointment towards the effected individuals. AA and TNB.

{photo from thestar.com.my}

*exhales* okay. I feel much better now. Will blog about my raya celebrations soon ya :)

Stay tuned!

Pieja's engagement

One of my best girlfriends got engaged over the weekend in our hometown Alor Star. and of course I had to be there for her. We've been together since we were 14. So you do the math :)

This is my 1st time trying my good old 50mm on an event. I must say it took really great photos! I didn't use any flash at all during the event and most of the photos below were SOOC (straight out of camera). Pretty cool huh?

I play a bit with the P (program) functions. 1st photos below were taken with Standard and the rest with Faithful. I had so much fun taking all these photos with the lens. I can't wait for another event like this for me to test out what my 'baby' could do :)

Anyway, enjoy the photos!

put your ring on it :P

The most exciting event of the year!

So this is where I've been for the past 2 days. It is a an exhibition for Architects, Interior Design & Building that's called ARCHIDEX. This is an annual event that held at the KL Convention Centre. It is a good event too for those who are looking for Interior Designer to decorate their home or looking for the latest products at the market for your home because they are all here under one roof. If you missed this year's event, do not fret. There will be more next year :)

Anyway, I didn't do any shopping when I was here in KL. My time spent mostly on lrt, walking and taxis. *sigh.* Nak shopping pon dah takde kuderat.

This will be my 1st time taking ERL from Salak Tinggi to KL Central. They offer free shuttle service from LCCT to go to the nearest ERL station. The ticket from Salak Tinggi station to KL Central is RM12.50. Oh I brought along my baby this time. It's been awhile since the last time I took him out for a stroll.

Oh not Hariz-baby, but this baby...

THEbag

I had this for my 'hantaran' almost 2 years ago. I seldom use it because afraid I might spill something on it and a tad heavy. uhuuuhh..Lenguh jugak la bahu bawak. But I'm lovin' it! I put my slr, my water bottle, my chocolate , everything! :P

THErailway

The best thing about this event is I got to meet all my ex unimate here. And even my lecturers! This is more like a huge gathering for all of us. A place for us to gather and catch up on things.

nieta : me : nida

vivien : me : dona

sanyo : king : seng lee
sorry dear i cant remember ur name : me : vivien : dona

One of the speaker doing his thing at his best

That night, I went out with my sis and zhaf. Initially, we wanted to have dinner at Zinmai, but something happened , malas nak story here, (in the end we only managed to eat 5 items out of 20 and they were on the house :P), we went to Chili's.

It was full house because of the game last night. Netherlands VS Brazil. Giler pecah Chilis tu diaorg menjerit :P

Oh almost for got, this next photo, I want to dedicate it to Verde (hehe.. macam gempak je :P). There were this section where they displayed a few works done by selected architect. While I was browsing the boards, I saw something that catches my eye and immedietly it reminds me of verde :P

Mom & Baby Expo 2010 & IKEA & Girlfriends [Part II]

{You're the best thing ever happened to me,
I thank Allah for this greatest gift ever,
and for that, I will always love you..}

Thank you k'own for the beautiful shot ! :)

I want to begin this entry by thanking these people whom I love so dear and close to my hear (ohh I feel so much love today, so please bear with me :P)
Sorry I left both of you out on my previous entry :P Thank you for looking after Hariz while me go shopping Nurul and Zhaf. Extra pair of hands are always needed when it comes to taking care of Hariz :D

Ahh okay, the continuance of the 2nd chapter of my visit to KL, we went to IKEA the next day which is on Sunday morning right after we had our breakfast.

Oh by the way, Hariz just lost his left shoe the day before. So this photo was taken right before the shoe went missing. Kesian Hariz. He just had a good look at his shoes skali dah hilang. Huhuhu..

Already then, back to IKEA,traffic and parking was still okay when we arrived. but the crowds started to build up when we arrived inside of the store. Ramai sungguh manusia. We went few rounds and stop by the cafe before heading downstairs to isi minyak dulu. I had my favourite meatballs that I've been craving since the last time I had is which was last year! :P

All tables were full! I was standing and looking for empty table when suddenly a foreign women came to me and said "hi.. you can have our seat if you want. We are done". Owh wow! Lucky me!

Then I met my long time high school friend, Kak Win, with her baby, Alif. Sangat la comel si Alif nii.. Macam anak mat saleh :)

We continued our shopping after the lunch. Hariz felt asleep a few times while I shop. Kesian diaa :P

Later, Hariz met his gorgeous aunties!!!!Seronok Hariz dikelilingi auntie-auntie yang vogue2 :P
