Adding Swensen's on the menu

We had a visit from my dad and my sister last weekend. Eversince Hariz was born, kerap sungguh my dad datang Penang. He just couldn't get enough of his only grandson :P

I wasn't feeling so well but when my dad mentioned that they wanted to go to Gurney, terus I was like 'yeay! nak ikott!!!'. Lupa habis semua sakit-sakit itu (for a moment je).

 We headed to Swensen's for dinner. I was actually craving for their ice cream! Nyum!!! and Hariz, mama bawak bekalan dari rumah which is mashed potato! Hariz suka!

no matter what, I must feed this little guy 1st then I could have my meal. Or else, jenuh buat perangai. Dah kenyang baru tak kacau orang.

I had beef spagethi bolognese for dinner. I was so friggin' hungry that I finished the whole big plate!

Chocolate Crunch!

it's chocolate ice-cream, hot fudge and loads crispy chocolate morsels. Mmmmm..mmmm

If he's gotta go, he's gotta go!

We went to our house last Saturday as the renovation has already started. The plaster ceiling, kitchen cabinet and a bit of extension at the kitchen. Hazriz and I just waited in the car because there are too many debris and dust for me to take Hariz inside. So we just play in the car despite of the hot sun. Luckily it didn't take long for Wan to check the work done. 
 

Hariz has been such a sport. Takde buat perangai pon. This picture was taken while he is meneran for berak. Look at that face :P

We were heading to the Jusco Bandar Perda later but I couldn't let his diapers to be wet for so long. So I had to do the nappy change inside the car. Owh how he loves everytime when I took off his pants. He has this some kind of relief i guess.

Last week kami bawak Hariz pegi Queensbay, So today, kami pegi Gurney pulak. Saje je bawak Hariz jalan-jalan. Asyik duduk rumah je :P and at the same time, mama & abah need to do some shopping :P

We went out at 11am to avoid traffics and crowds.

Once we reached Gurney, kami pergi survey for fridge since we are moving soon and our old fridge is too small and kadang-kadang suka buat hal. Fridge free, can I blame it? :P

Lepas jalan-jalan, we became hungry and went to Manhattan Fishmarket. Biler datang sini, we always order the same thing. Seafood platter for two. Actually the size is so big. Makan 4 orang pon cukup.

Sambil makan, I have to feed Hariz pulak. Thanks to the nursing poncho, now I can feed Hariz anytime, anywhere :D

Lunch At New World Park

My hubby and I often had our lunch breaks together because our offices are not too far from each other.

So yesterday, we had our lunch at Mizi Bistro (my treat :P) located at the New World Park or as chinese call it So Tao Lin (did I get it right?). New World Park is a food court where different types of stalls and restaurant located under one roof.

Besides the foodcourt, there also Old Town, Starbucks, BBQ Chicken, Guardian and more.

I love this fruit stall. You can find almost every type of fruits here. They also selling ais kacang, rojak and fresh fruit drinks! Nyummm!!

So this is the Mizi Restaurant. It's the 1st shop you will see if you're coming from the food court.


The 8 pages menu will definetly blew you away. It took me some time to decide what to eat because they are all good. Usually I will take the lunch set menu where you can choose the drinks, soups, main dish and ice cream for only RM21 per set.

I ordered the mushroom soup. This soup is really special because it's not like any other mushroom soup I've tried before. They are more like Campbell soup straight from the can. But this soup (from what I taste lah), they mix in grinded mushroom and it is thicker.

My hubby ordered.. err.. I forgot what's its name. It's a combination of chicken, steak and lamb chop. Wow. See the size of the plate? Huge!

I had the California Fish & Chips. Ada lebih kurang 5 pieces of fish per plate. I couldn't finish them all coz too full.

And finally, the dessert. It's a free flow ice cream where you have to make it yourself. Meaning you can put as much as you like! Did I say free flow? Owh yeahhh..! It's eat all you want! But I just had 2 scoops je coz dah kenyang sangat-sangat. Burp!

Thursday Outing

My hubby and I decided to take a day off yesterday and went for a movie and makan-makan. It's been awhile since the last time we do this. I think the last time was when I was 9 months pregnant. We left Hariz at the nursery for awhile. We watched Avatar at the Queensbay Mall on the earliest show which is 1145am because we thought there won't be too many people at the movie on that hour. but boy I was wrong. The movie was full house and it's not even holiday! Luckily I purchased the ticket earlier at the e-payment. Kalau tidak kami tengok poster je la :P The movie was awesome! Few times I was like 'wow' , 'nice' and 'wow'. I won't tell you how good it was. Don't want to burst the bubble :P all I can say, it's a movie worth watching for 2 hours and 30 mins. Sampai lenguh la pinggang.

My stomach kept growling towards the end of the movie. Tersangat-sangat lah lapar. We were heading to Nandos when we saw the TGI Friday's ads on the escalator. Terus we were like, 'jom!' It's been awhile too since the last time we had TGI's.

We both chose the RM29.90 2 course meal. My hubby had boneless chicken wings as appetizer and the Adobo Chicken as the entree. As for me, I ordered Fried Mac & Cheese as appetizer and Chicken Penne Pasta as entree. I finished my big plate pasta in less than 20 minutes. Lapar punya pasal.

I was thinking of having the dessert minis after the meal, but I was too full. Nak jalan pon tak larat. Maybe i'll have one of the minis on my next visit. Now it's time for a stroll around te mall after a full stomach. We went to Toys R' Us. At 1st saje je nak tengok-tengok. And then we saw these 2 and terus beli for Hariz.

It's good to stimulate his brain with the toys. He seems happy cuma tak pandai nak grab je lagi.

and this for him to play when he is in the stroller or car. Hariz sukeeeee...

as for me, I bought myself Croc's McCall Winter size 9. Sangat comfyyy... But the bad news, we left it in the trolley at the mall and forgot to take it. Sangat sedeeehhhh... Tak sempat nak pakai.. huuuaaaaa!!!!!
Up to date, almost all of my shoes dah tak muat nak pakai after gave birth to Hariz. Have I gained that much? It means only one thing. Time to buy new shoes!! :P

Baby Day's Out

Today is the 1st day we bring Hariz out to jalan-jalan (jalan-jalan means shopping malls!). He was a bit thrilled at 1st. Can't stop staring out of the window. Looking at the moving trees. Tapi tak sampai few minutes dah lentok. Moving car rocks him to sleep.


As we reached the mall, Hariz was still asleep. So I managed to buy few stuff like nursing bras, my lense solutions and few other stuff.

Once he is awake, he started to cry and whimper. Mama then dah tak boleh shop. Bagi susu pon still nangis. Rupa nyer diaper dia dah penoh. Unfortunately kat situ takde diaper changing room. So we have to quickly get home as he started to get irritated with the diaper.

Off we go home after only 2 hours of shopping. Actually this is more like a test for us on how to prepare ourselves and baby when we go outing like this. Maybe the next time we will be fully prepared.
