Happy Eid Mubarak! (It's still not too late!)

Salam and hello to all my fellow blog readers. I know it's been ages since the last time I blogged. Last night I was browsing through this blog and I was surprised that I've only have 8 posts for year 2012! Like 1 post for each month!

I love my blog. The reason I started blogging is to keep memories alive. So I'm sorry I haven't been updating a lot lately.

Anyway, I hope it's not too late for me to post this entry on our recent Eid Mubarak celebration. We had turquoise theme this year (so we can wear it again on my sis's wedding this September :P). I guess I was one of the lucky ones who doesn't have to fight every year to decide which kampung we should go this year. Because my husband and I are both from Alor Setar. Our parent's home were just a stone throw away!

Sara wasn't in a good mood on the 1st day of Eid. She was a little cranky and fussy. Bought Sara's kurung at Ddyan Closet. Nasib baik sampai before raya. Or else no kurung lah for Sara.

Us with my mom

I told you she was cranky

My dad, brother and elder sister couldn't join us on the 1st day of raya. Dad and my brother were in JB.

Later that evening we went  to Wan's parents. Makan-makan and took some photos.

Top - We will never missed beraya at Maslia's , my dear friend since highschool.
Bottom - 2nd day of Eid.Every year Aidilia will have an open house at her parent's. Thats 5 of us. Bestfriends since highschool. Together forever :D

How was everyone Eid celebration?

Wedding of Reena & Hairil

I hope it's not too late for me to post this in my blog. I know things been pretty hectic these days. the juggling job between carrier, blog design and being a mom and don't forget a wife!

Anyway, I have known Reena since the 1st time I started blogging which was 3 years ago. Although I have never met Reena in person but we get along pretty well until now :)

Luckily Reena is a Penangnite. So when she invited me to her wedding, I feel like it's a golden opportunity to finally meet her! I actually have to free up my schedule for the day and told my hubby 2 weeks in advance and keep reminding him of this event. (Because hubby I ni suka buat plan last minute)

So on Saturday, May 12, 2012, we made it to the wedding held at Setia Pearl Island's Ballroom. Here are some of the photos from the event.
{Iseriously forgot what you call this table}
I met another blogger/twitter friend @Shuzaila. I saw Aida too as we reached the venue and she was about to leave. Tak sempat nak bergambar dengan Aida :(
Usually we will be having trouble eating out because Sara just can't stay put. But we were lucky because Hana ( Ella's daughter) is doing a great job entertaining Sara. Dapat la menikmati lauk kawin Reena yang sedap itu.
Here's the bridge and the groom. I just love these 3 photos. :) Congratulations again Reena. Till we meet again. One day :)

Another wedding photo

This is actually the 2nd part of my best friend's wedding , Pieja. (the reception). We were all suppose to wear purple for the wedding BUT since I've been pregnant and getting bigger, I can hardly find the best outfit for it. I found this maxi dress (something like kaftan) but the material is stretchable cotton with beaded around the neckline. I wore purple scarf to match with it. Okla kan? ade jugak purple :P

So the bride wore something like turqoise blue (more like a blue to me) or was I color blind?
Zaffa (left) had to leave early so this is the only photo with her in it. Nak pegi Padang Beso katanya. Takot tutup kot :P

Anyway, I love this photo of Hariz and my girls. Oh he knows how to pose in front of the camera. When I say 'Harizzzz... look (aiming the camera)', he will immediately smile.  Perfect!
Hariz makan cendol dengan mama and Dilia with her son , Dani.

We wanted to take photo at the entrace because I love the lighting. But of course people keep coming in and out of the house through the door, terpaksa berhenti sambut tetamu saatt... :P

Okay I'm actually got work to do. Hence the writing in this entry is like blabla. Sorry guys.
Now I had to juggle between this blog and KraftyPalette. I'm trying to keep up but I think I'm a little left behind.

On another note, I will be away for 3 days starting this Friday for a study trip organized by my company. This is an annual event for designers and architects. Last year's trip was to Ho Chi Minh city. So this year is to Singapore. I've been wanting to go since before I was pregnant. I hope I could still walk down that Orchard road without any trouble :P

When there were 6

A dear friend of mine got married over the weekend. I took an AL just to be at her solemnization on Friday.I would never missed my best friends' wedding! We've been friends since we were 14 and 13 years later, we are still good friends and always been keeping in touch with each other. We're practically like sisters. Something that I really treasure with my whole heart.

Pieja (the bride) told me she had this shoe custom made along with another pair. I was like 'they can do that?' Where have I been all these while?? The workmanship is so good. She said they can do any kind of shoes! OMG! I should've done this long time ago! Since I've been having trouble finding the perfect shoes!

Okay enough with the shoes. I wore this grey kaftan bought from this blog 3 weeks prior to the wedding. Nasib baik sempat sampai because it's a pre-order kaftan. I've tried chiffon type of kaftan before but I don't think that kind of material is suitable for pregnant women. I don't know. It just look weird. Especially at the belly part. Maybe because it's too soft. So it's kind of stick to your belly :P

{The bride and the not-so-bridesmaids}

The mosque is just a walking distance away from her home so we got there just in time after Asar. Luckily it rains right after we step foot in the mosque. Phew!

To our surprise, there were 2 more couples to be solemnized on that day! Imagine the crowd!

{Waiting anxiously}

It was close to 6pm when everything is settled.
I was already hungry and drenched in sweat.

{the happy face of the bride}

Congratulations to darling Pieja and Bad!

So 4 down, 2 more to go :)

to be continued.......

Better late than never! :P

What is the best thing you should do when it's 4.30 am and you can't sleep? Blogging of course!

This entry was meant to be posted few weeks ago but somehow, I just didn't have the time to hit the 'publish' button. Yeah I'm that busy.

Anway, last Chinese New Year was a blast for us. Well at least for me because one, we got to go back to our hometown and come back Penang and meet my old friends back in uni days.

The early plan was to have a small get to together in a restaurant somewhere in Penang. But really, when day came to near, these few people manage to show up.

Me and Wan were heading to my boss's housewarming cum open house at Tanjung Bungah so we decided to meet at Gurney Plaza.

Group 1, Firdaus aka Dodos, wife and kid. Why I called it Group? Because we were suppose to meet TOGETHER but the other 'group' was slightly delayed. We had a little chat and tanya khabar etc.

Dodos has to rush back home to Perak and we still had a little time before heading to my boss's. Luckily this group arrived just in time. Meet Pitt and Iryd and daughter Lana.

Hariz has this thing about other babies. He likes to kiss!!Ayoo!! abis la mama Hariz. Kena kejar ngan mak bapak diaorang mama tak tauuu.

So I guess that's that for my Chinese New Year's story. Will try to update more later. Got few design job to complete within this week!! Will blog about that too!! can't wait!!! :D

Meeting Adam Zahran for the first time

Last CNY's holiday was the most hectic but fun holidays for us. We got back to our hometown on the first 2 days of holiday and I've already had big plans for it.

I said to Wan the only activity I could and would do when I'm back in Alor Setar will be stay at home and catch up with my families OR have a girls day out. So this time, I picked the later ones :)

It's kinda hard these days to be spending times with your precious girlsfriends, especially when one stucked here in the North and the rests are residing in the KL.

We've made plan to pay our dear friend (who just gave birth to a baby boy) who lived in Perlis a visit. Since there were 6 of us (including 2 toddlers), I've decided to drive my dad's mpv. yep. Don't think this 4-month-old-pregnant-lady can't drive a huge mpv! (practicing to be a soccer mom) and of course Hariz is fine in his car seat. No complains!

We reached there 45minutes later (hungry and thirsty). Luckily ada bihun goreng yang sedap. (psstt.. I tambah 3 kali. Pordon this pregnant lady plus long drive :P).

Anyway, meet Adam Zahran. Another addition the family of 3 boys :) (boleh buat team bola pulak next!)

really good boy.

All of us plus a little extra baggage :P

We USED to have this style when taking photos. Jumping!
Then I just remembered that I'm pregnant. dang!

Time to go home. All the kids were tired of the long trip but Hariz was such a sport! He slept all the way from AS to Perlis and all the way back.

More CNY 2011 updates soon!

Stay tuned!!!!

My new found hapiness : Part 2

Eh ada part part pulak ek? Hehe.. Well it's not another handbag or wallet :P It's just the continuance of my recent trip to KL for a meeting and to get my so called 'new found happiness'

Anyway, I came down to KL every quarter year for our staff meeting. And recently I had to do the presentation for our Penang office. It was my 1st time on that stage after 3 years working at this company :P Imagine how nervous I was and my heart was pounding like it's gonna came out of my chest! (honestly I had this problem of speaking in front of lots of people. I tend to talk really really fast :P)

But everything went well and it wasn't so bad at all! I could do it all over again! :D

me and my colleague. we were queuing for our lunch. It was a very long queue! Nasib baik the meal was awesome!!

And later I met this wonderful mommy of 2 and also an avid blogger to get my stuff.

Finally I've met Shila in person!!! Too bad we didn't get to chat and hangout. Maybe next time you're in town? And of course I had to dragged her out of her car to get this photo. hehehe.. Thanks Shila! And really nice to finally meet you!

And she brought over this 2 gentlemen, Adam and Aiman Haris!!! Oh gosh!! Aiman is sooo adorable sleeping in his car seat. Nasib baik dia tido. Kalau idak dah gomoi2. hehehe.. and uuhh.. I've got flying kiss from Adam. Muaxx!!! Pandai dia noohhh.. Kecik2 dah pandai flying kiss.. :P

Later I did 'tawaf' the whole KLCC. From Ground Floor to the top Floor. Went to Arzu boutique, (i've never been to one), and I've never thought their price is sooo expensive! I'd rather buy one from those blogshops. Same quality and mucho mucho mucho cheaper!

So maybe next trip to KL kita buat makan-makan pulak yer bloggers? :D

The 15 minute feast

We attended a wedding of my junior from USM sometime last week. Since it's just nearby our house, didn't take long for us to get there. Luckily the bride & groom were just arrived and ready to sit on the 'pelamin'.

This time we I didn't get to match colour with the bride because I don't have green outfit! :P

Anyway, saw a few of my classmates there and got a chance to catch up and borak-borak kejap.

But you know, when you have a toddler with you at a kenduri, don't expect to stay long. So we came, say hi to the bride, had our meal, snap few photos while I do the chatting and off we go. Hariz just can't stay put. He just wanted to wonder around.

Sempat jugak la tanya khabar and meet few peoples yang sudah lama tak jumpa.

and of course not forgetting the couples. Fasha & Hairil (was it? lupa dah :P)

L-R : kak sue and daugther, me, Nieta, Abg. Asrul, Zue, Jamil (Nieta's hubby) and Abg Is (kak sue's hubby)

It was a hot and sunny day and these two boys were drenched in sweats! and oh, Hariz just made a big poop here. Luckily we got out sooner :P

So weekend is coming. Going to meet few newborn babies of a friend and in-law. But first, got to do some shopping! :P

Guess i'll be seeing you guys on Monday!

Have a good weekend!!

The not- so- fast sushi dining experience..

This entry has been in the draft folder since last week! Things have been pretty hectic these past few days with cranky & fussier Hariz, demam yang macam biskut chips more : kejap ade, kejap takde, meeting dateline and ahh.. to name a few (padahal itu je :P)

Anyway, as usual, we went to Gurney last Friday because a dear colleague of mine teringin nak makan sushi. It's her 1st time though. :P So we taught  her how to eat this with this, how to use the chopstick etc. :)

dress from labelshowroom

One thing I don't really like to dine here, at Sushi King Gurney Plaza, is because of the slow service. Sushi is suppose to be fast right?  Sometimes I had to wait for 20 minutes for ordered item to arrive. Sushi is something you should eat without any delay right? I mean kena sentiasa ngap ngap ngap non-stop sampai kenyang. So once ader pause in the eating process, terus takde mood nak makan. Huhuhuhu..

But I don't know on weekends. But during weekdays, even when the crowd is not that big, it is still slow. *sigh*

Moving on, I've seen a lot of photos where they took it in front of the toilet mirror and been wondering to myself, why lah diaorg suka sangat amik gambar dalam toilet. Until I tried it myself and now I know why :P
Because the mirror is huge!!! Regardless it's in the toilet :P

Okay, I promise this will be my 1st and last taking photos in the bathroom :P

Celebrating Eid with friends

Raya kan sebulan?Kan kan?

Last Thursday was a public holiday as our country celebrated Malaysia Day. Me and Wan decided to stay home and invite few friends over for a little makan-makan. Niat nak buat open house tapi macam tak larat. We were still exhausted from our trip back from JB. So we just 'open' our doors and just welcoming whoever is, well, coming! :P

I stayed up until 4am the night before to prepare the dishes. Takdela banyak pon. Simple-simple je like makaroni bakar (wajib ade), spaghetti (wajib ade jugak), brownies and sardine roll which I just learned how to made it :P

This will be the 1st time my girlfriends ever reached my home with their family.
l-r : dilia, k'own and moi

Raya tak sah tanpa gambar posing ntah hape hape kann

This will be the 1st time too I witness Hariz mingling with other babies. Hariz is actually a very friendly baby. He loves to make friends and uh.. a kisser. haihhh.. baby boy pon dier nak kiss.

and we had a visit from my classmate in uni all the way from Sarawak. Jauh si Dona ni beraya.

It is so good to see all on this raya we got to meet our friends yang sudah lame tak jumpe. Catch up on stuff.

Thank you guys for coming!!!

Mom & Baby Expo 2010 & IKEA & Girlfriends [Part II]

{You're the best thing ever happened to me,
I thank Allah for this greatest gift ever,
and for that, I will always love you..}

Thank you k'own for the beautiful shot ! :)

I want to begin this entry by thanking these people whom I love so dear and close to my hear (ohh I feel so much love today, so please bear with me :P)
Sorry I left both of you out on my previous entry :P Thank you for looking after Hariz while me go shopping Nurul and Zhaf. Extra pair of hands are always needed when it comes to taking care of Hariz :D

Ahh okay, the continuance of the 2nd chapter of my visit to KL, we went to IKEA the next day which is on Sunday morning right after we had our breakfast.

Oh by the way, Hariz just lost his left shoe the day before. So this photo was taken right before the shoe went missing. Kesian Hariz. He just had a good look at his shoes skali dah hilang. Huhuhu..

Already then, back to IKEA,traffic and parking was still okay when we arrived. but the crowds started to build up when we arrived inside of the store. Ramai sungguh manusia. We went few rounds and stop by the cafe before heading downstairs to isi minyak dulu. I had my favourite meatballs that I've been craving since the last time I had is which was last year! :P

All tables were full! I was standing and looking for empty table when suddenly a foreign women came to me and said "hi.. you can have our seat if you want. We are done". Owh wow! Lucky me!

Then I met my long time high school friend, Kak Win, with her baby, Alif. Sangat la comel si Alif nii.. Macam anak mat saleh :)

We continued our shopping after the lunch. Hariz felt asleep a few times while I shop. Kesian diaa :P

Later, Hariz met his gorgeous aunties!!!!Seronok Hariz dikelilingi auntie-auntie yang vogue2 :P
