How about some food photos for starter eh?

Hi guys. Sorry i've been long silence. As you all know, I am now is like a bomb timer, ready to explode. So nothing much interesting thing happened lately other than me sitting at my mom's home and taking care of Hariz, feeding myself fats and weighing 76kg and doing my blog design job.

And everytime I open this blog, I said to myself "bila lah haku nak update blog ni." It's been too long. And when we stopped doing something for a loooonng time, we kinda get, well, rusty.

So tonight, after settled installing 1 blog design, I've decided to take a break from blog designing and write something here. And I always like to start with photos.

I've been wanting to blog about this little cooking thing we did sometime months ago. It's chicken Parmigiana (thanks to Iza for the easy peasy recipe!) and cheese baked mussels scallop (ini pakai hentam. Janji sedap :P)

Taraa!!! Presenting the chicken parmigiana!! Sangat sedap and my hubby soh buat 6 chicken breasts at one time!! That's for lunch and dinner all together! :P

And a few months before, my mom went to Semporna, Sabah for a trip and she brought back some 'kerang' (that's what she claimed to be) and this "kerang" has been in our freezer for ages! I just wasn't really interested to cook the 'kerang' because I don't know what to do with it! Until my mom came for a visit and decided to take them out from the fridge. And once she unwrapped the paper, I was like "makk!!! why didn't you say it was musselss Scallop! !!!!' hiyaa.. kalau idak dah lama dah masak :P

Hahaha.. anyway, i just blend some garlic mixed with butter and spread them on the mussles. Then put some mozzarella and parmesan cheese on it, and baked them. There were about 50 pieces of them so we baked them all! Urmm bytheway, these are called mussels right? Maybe the smaller version? It's called scallop!! Thanks Ella!

 I haven't been doing a lot of cooking lately. Heck I haven't been doing a lot of things! Just chained myself to the chair and mengadap my laptop. Don't ask me when this baby will come out because I don't know either! Edd is suppose July 9th. I guess we'll just have to wait for her to come out :)

Ordering Pizza has never been this fun!

I can say that I'm one of the Domino's Pizza's regular customer. We always order pizza from our home and some time, they will throw us some freebies like free breadstix or drinks or anything! That's one of the things I love about Domino's Pizza.

But all these while, I've been ordering Pizza through the phone. So today, for the 1st time, I made an online order from my office. Yes. I am that hungry :P

I never thought online order could be this fun!!! They even have this GPS tracker to I can track where my pizza is. Isn't that cool???

Ho yeah baby!!!

I just had this burger  last Wednesday. Sebelum ni makan nasik lauk. This time ade la kelainan sket makan burger time lunch :P

This burger came in 2 flavors as usual. Chicken and beef and with french fries and salad on the side.

I wasn't so well on that day so I couldn't finish the whole burger at one go. So had to tapau the left over for me to consume later at the office :P

The beef burger is sooo thick and if you ordered chicken burger, they will give you 2 pieces! How can I ever finish that? :P

But the ABC was splendid! With ice cream on top. Ummmmm... ummmphhh! Sungguh sedap di makan tika panas terik :)

Okay. I don't think my belly had shown that much yet. But it's probably the.. errr.. fat? :P

Dining experience in a jungle

So yesterday our company had a little makan-makan to celebrate the birthdays and farewells. (yeah all at the same time. save budget :P)

This time we had it at the Jemputree! The restaurant located just nearby our office. 10 minutes walking distance. But I drove there :P Tak larat nak jalan mak!

There we like 15 of us and the price for the luncheon is RM15 per head. The menu is :

1. Tomyam Campur

2. Oyster sauce veggie

3. Ikan Pari Asam Pedas

4. Kari Ayam

5. Sizzling Beancurd

6. Sambal ulam

7. Kerabu mangga

8. Dessert (fruits)

9. Teh Tarik

10. Drinks 

11. and of course nasik la :P

I would consider it quite cheap and we ate until we were totally full!

I think they have more lovely ambiance if you come here at night. The environment will change from plain old boring restaurant into more hapenning place!

 And for those who wants a little romance, you can try their famous Tree house. But usually it'll be full! So make sure you book the place earlier :) Trust me you won't regret.

Friends and farewell

Last week we had lunch at the Suai Kenari Restaurant in Perangin Mall with the office. We often had our lunch cum farewell party here because of the food!! We love the food here ! Never get bored with their tomyam and ikan siakap masak merah. :)

okay. jakun sket. maklumla. phone baru ader interenet. Normally my battery will last 2-3 days without charging. But now, 1 day pon tak sampai! How am I suppose to use iphone??

The not- so- fast sushi dining experience..

This entry has been in the draft folder since last week! Things have been pretty hectic these past few days with cranky & fussier Hariz,demam yang macam biskut chips more : kejap ade, kejap takde, meeting dateline and ahh.. to name a few (padahal itu je :P)

Anyway, as usual, we went to Gurney last Friday because a dear colleague of mine teringin nak makan sushi. It's her 1st time though. :P So we taught  her how to eat this with this, how to use the chopstick etc. :)

One thing I don't really like to dine here, at Sushi King Gurney Plaza, is because of the slow service. Sushi is suppose to be fast right?  Sometimes I had to wait for 20 minutes for ordered item to arrive. Sushi is something you should eat without any delay right? I mean kena sentiasa ngap ngap ngap non-stop sampai kenyang. So once ader pause in the eating process, terus takde mood nak makan. Huhuhuhu..

But I don't know on weekends. But during weekdays, even when the crowd is not that big, it is still slow. *sigh*

 Moving on, I've seen a lot of photos where they took it in front of the toilet mirror and been wondering to myself, why lah diaorg suka sangat amik gambar dalam toilet. Until I tried it myself and now I know why :P

Because the mirror is huge!!! Regardless it's in the toilet :P

Okay, I promise this will be my 1st and last taking photos in the bathroom :P

When I saw my fellow friends baked their cakes and cookies, my heart screams to try the recipe.Saw Reena with her oreo truffles, Amie with her macarons and Shila with her chocolate chip cookies. 

I tried macarons, twice! but boy, it was not as easy as it looks! I failed both attempts ending my macarons look like macaroons! :P

As for the truffles, I'll save it for later :) So last night, I tried Shila's choc chip recipe. I think it's the easiest recipe to try especially if you're a first timer (like me!) :P

The colour didn't turn out to be like what Shila did. Maybe I over do the cocoa powder :P

But the taste was awesoommmee!!!

The whole house smell of cookies and even my clothes and hair!!

Brought some to the office today for them to try but for non-malay lah. The rest get free smell :P

and tonight, going to try another recipe :P

Iftar at Berjaya Hotel, Penang

We do have iftar (buka puasa) with all the colleagues every year during the Ramadhan. Since Ramadhan is coming to an end, we had this im prompt tu iftar at the nearest venue to our office which is Berjaya Hotel.

The cost of the buffet is RM43++ per person. My boss made a deal with the non-muslim, that they too should fast today in conjuction with the company iftar. Few really made it but it's actually no food, just drinks :P oklah kan ? :D

The food at the hotel was superb! Well at least to me. They had local cuisine and a few of western like pasta.

I really wanted the crab. *drool but it's going to be a mess! So I just passed :(

Too bad my belly is not that big. Kalau idak, memang I dah 10 kali round kot. Rugi rugi.

Oh I love my new top! Bought it at Nichii. and guess how much it cost?? RM29!!!!!! I kid you not!!!! :P 

and oh that inner  I'm wearing. I've never seen it before so I decided to give it a try. It's actually soooo soft, not hard like the Ariani. It really is soft! Like a normal cotton inner. Except the way you wear it inside is actually like this :

Iftar at 160m above the sky!

We've been here few times for our iftar during the ramadhans. The food was ok. Plenty of menu to choose from but most of it are locals. The only unique experience dining here is the rotating restaurant up above. (is it called rotating? restoran berputar?)

Anyway, I was a bit dizzy at 1st because the dining deck keep rotating and I keep end up at the other part of the restaurant.

So we had another iftar at this tower last week and to celebrate my niece's 4th birthday.

and this photo onwards taken last weekend. That's Hariz and his tok abah. His 2nd time here. The 1st time was when he's still in my womb. Still counts right? :P

Hariz hates everything we put on his head. Be it cap, songkok, semua dia buang.

I didn't eat that much because ramai sangat orang and the food habis cepat. *sigh. macam tak puas je makan. I did have roti jala sampai 6 keping :P

Currently the tower is undergoing major renovations but didn't effect the restaurant at all. Should go here if you ever in town. Never tried the restaurant during normal days. You could just go up to the viewing deck too. You can even see Langkawi from up there :P

What's teething and food have anything to do with this entry?

Nothing and everything! :P

Okay I'm so high with sugar now so bear with me.

I admit that I never seldom cook since before I was married. I had no urge to cook and no one to cook for. and when I was single, cooking to me, was such a waste. You see, I will spend half of my day cooking, few seconds eating and later the dishes! Why the hassle if I could just eat out right?

and when Wan 1st came to my house to ask my hand in marriage (cewahh), my mom awal-awal bagitau wan & his mom that I don't really know how to cook! lmao! malu okeh. heee.. but we're married now and I can cook!!!! not perfectly but good enough to savour wan's appetite :)

Yes I know they are all simple cooking and budak darjah 6 pon boleh masak. hehehe.. but I did it anyway :) Tak termasuk yang bakar-bakar lagi ooooo.. :P

On another note, Hariz, 10 months and 2 weeks , started teething sometime last 4 days. He's been crackier than before and the teeth actually 1 saje! mane satu lagi?? tak hensem la raya nanti gigi satu je :P

Speaking of raya, Hariz sudah ade baju raya! It's maroon. So I have to find something similar (what? belom ade baju raye?) yeah.. *sigh* kena beli yang ready made je. Nak tempah tak sempat dah. Huhuhuhu..

Hariz buah hati pengarang jantung ku (seriously, I don't really know what that means) :P
