On baby's headband

I used to drool over cute baby girl's stuff like skirts, mary jane shoes, tutus, head bands and pink stuff. Now that I have one my own, I became wilder everytime I see these cute little thing.

Even before Sara was born, I vowed to myself not to spoil her with too much girly stuff but I just can't help it! They are too cute to resist!

As I was browsing (just browsing ok!) for baby girl's stuff, i bumped into this cute head piece and I was like, 'Sara gotta have this! She's gonna be sooo cute with it!'. And of course, being me if this thing sold online, there must be 1 shop that sells cheaper. So I searched and searched and finally found this blog that sells much much cheaper than those I've found. End up I bought 4 of them! :P

On baby safety gate

Ever since Hariz started to learn to crawl, we knew that having a house with staircases would be one of the safety issue. At first, I was a bit reluctant to buy one of those safety gate because it's an eye sore! But putting away aesthetics, Hariz safety is number 1. 

So I went looking for this safety gate at Toys R' Us. They had  a few models to choose from with the price ranging from RM179 - RM400++. I'm not looking for something fancy. Good enough to stop Hariz from climbing up the stairs. 

Luckily Toys R' Us was having a promotions for it's members. So I bought this safety gate from Little Bean for RM179.90.

My mistake when purchasing this gate was I didn't measure it first before went looking for it. Well actually it was unintentional buys. 

Well anyway, when I got home to try in on, like I reckon, the gate didn't fit. My staircase a little too wide and the gate is short. I thought of add few extensions but Wan said its really a waste and it will cost more.Luckily Toys R' Us has a full refund policy within a certain day so I returned the gate and got my money back :)

With the stairs being no-gate, we were thinking of getting a custom made gate. I think it'll cost around RM100++ per gate with iron as material and we need 3 of it. But Wan got a much better plans. So I thought.

Finally after 2 days bertukang, we got our own custom made safety gate that we won't get anywhere else..

Heheh.. it's not as sleek as made my professionals but it is safe :)

Carry or not to carry?

Hariz is 10 months old today (happy 10 months old sayang).

His milestone until today is crawl dengan laju nyer and climbing while holding onto things.

anddd.... no teeth. I mean at all! :P

He is 9kg weigh and most of the time, he likes to be carry rather than stay in the stroller.

I don't know when until he could walk, but for time being, I think I need another carrier so I could carry him without my arms being sore.

I've been eyeing for this softstructured carrier (SSC) for quite sometime. (we had Baby Bjorn but hariz has outgrown it).

Hariz can use it until he is big enough and he don't want to be carried :P

and it's kinda easier for us if we are going to buy groceries at Tesco or Carrefour because mind you, strolley+trolley+ huge crowds = crying baby + mom :P

What do you guys think? Should I or should I not?

Mom & Baby Expo 2010 + IKEA + Girlfriends [Part 1]

I think I've been blogging about this expo since forever! :P Finally, after 5 months of waiting, 4 months of planning, countless of plans changing, finally I've made it to the one of the Malaysia's Largest Parenting Expo. I knew about this expo exist when I read Iza's blog last year on the expo (it was another expo tho. Organized by a different bodies) .

 Anyway, we departed from Penang at around 11am Saturday morning. I need to prepare a lot of stuff especially for Hariz! Fyi, I brought over homemade food for Hariz during the trip.Made it the night before, put them in the baby cubes and froze the ones to be used in few days and put some in the below part for later use.Senang sket nak bagi panas esok tu which is just rendam dalam air panas :)

We arrived KL at around 3.30pm and checked-in at Cititel Hotel. Dumped our luggage, freshen up and made our way to Midvalley.Searching for a place to eat was really troublesome at that time. Most of the restaurant were full house! Kitaorang dah la lapar giler.Then we went to TGIF at The Gardens. Luckily there were plenty of seats!

 

That day Abah belanja Mama because it's Mother's Day (tomorrow :P)

 

While we were eating, Hariz pon nak makan. Nyum nyum

 

Then we were off to the baby's room at the Gardens.Hariz was drunk with my milk and slept while mama go to the expo :P

And below some random photos taken inside the expo. I must say I'm quite familiar with almost all the brands like Tinytapir, Fabulousmom, Medela, Safe N Sound and of course The lil Caliph.

 

Guess who I saw when I arrived at TLC booth? Red Mummy!!!!I was so lucky to finally meet her in person. She's so much bubbly in person and very friendly. As if I've already know her before :P

 

Then off to shopping at TLC booth. I was gonna get Hariz one of the zoobies. It's 20% less! We were about to get him the crocodile, then changed our mind to the monkey. I've already paid for the item then suddenly I saw the giraffe. The colour and texture were much better. So tukar le and luckily Hariz loves it :P

Finish off at around 7.30pm. We were exhausted and terus balik hotel. Malam tu tak keluar MV pon. Lepak dalam bilik and went to bed at 9pm :P

Baby Shopping

My 1st baby online shopping was from LilCaliph back when I was still in confinement (tak boleh keluar so online shopping is the only wayy!!! :P 

And then I came across myBBstore.com a little while back and start purchasing few items. When they arrived, god knows what the feeling is like. To me, receiving a present ! (eventho I paid for it :P). Then I kept coming back for more.

2 days ago, I purchased more item from myBBstore and they arrived on the next day! How fast is that!?

I bought all the necessities for my little Hariz.(konon) and of course, for my own pleasure :P

 The item will arrive in a box with myBBstore written on it.

 

This is what I've bought :

1.Philips Avent: PP Feeding Bottle (260ml/9oz) - 2 Bottles (BPA FREE)- Hariz drinks more now. Previous bottle was 4oz je.

2.Thermos: FOOGO Food Jar (Blue): This is great for travelling to store food in warm or cold.Hariz pon sudah start solid.

3. Jeep: Car Seat Undermat: Abah dia takot kerusi kereta dia rosak so I bought this undermat ;)

4.Safety 1st: Baby View Mirror : Easier for me to observe Hariz while he is in his carseat without me have to turn my head to the back. Bahaya oo..

5. Kiddopotamus: CushyStraps Cushioned Strap Covers : Hariz often fell asleep so this could give him comfort to his neck :)

6.Munchkin: Fresh Food Feeder : I love this! Now Hariz can munch on fruits or veggies without me have to worry if he swallows it ;)

7. Tommee Tippee: Travel Cutlery Set : Preparation for travelling later

Suddenly I remembers that I need one of the Baby Cubes to store Hariz's food once we are travelling. I searched online I found out that they are selling at Peekaboo Baby Store which is really nearby to my office. So ape lagi, lunchtime pegi kejap :P

 

OKay so I didn't buy JUST the BabyCubes. :P The damage done on the 2nd day :

I just bought a new lens yesterday. I've read the review on the net and from the avid users, and I must say I have to try it. It is inexpensive for a lens. The result? I love it!

 

and of course, Hariz is my favourite model :P

We had an extra time yesterday after work and decided to watch a movie. We wanted to watch the  Lightning Thieves, tapi dah penohh.. Tinggal seat depan jer.. So we picked Wolfman instead. The movie was, okla. Nothing much to elaborate. Just a man turning into a wolf. but of course there's a twist to it. 

I missed the ending of the movie. How? lol, I had a stomach ache like 15 minutes before the movie ended (I didn't know it's going to end that soon!). So sangat sakit perot. When I returned, credits keluar. Huaaa... Rugi gila. 

On another note, I just receive the Carter's body suits for Hariz from Asmida.

Thank you so much laling for going through the trouble nak hantar to my house. :P and her dotter OMG! sangat la comeeyyyy!!!

I too bought my friend's a gift for he baby. Well soon to have a baby :P

Cloth Diaper

Finally I've decided to switch to Cloth Diaper! Yeay to me! But not entirely la. I'm still getting used to this cloth diaper thingy.

After reading reviews and bloghopping to read about this CD, I finally ordered Coolababy CD from here. It is suitable for newbie like me because it's inexpensive. There are plenty of designs and types of CD out there, but I'd stick to this first before starting on buying more CDs ;)

 

I bought 6 pairs inclusive of 12 inserts.

 

Hariz first time on CD. Me likey! :)
