Latest trend in Muslimah Clothing

It's been 3 weeks since I gave birth to my little darling angel and I am really looking forward to balik kampung and meet the families. Now you might think I will be wearing just jubah for Hari Raya since I just gave birth, well think again! I have already prepared my baju raya since before I was 34 weeks pregnant. Ha ha! Talk about determination! And of course my baju raya has to be breasfeeding friendly, so I bought myself a kebaya kimono.

Talking about raya fashion, since the past few years, the fashion industry is booming with Islamic fashion and modern muslimah women are always thirsty to try out the new trends. Fashion designers are always working their best to provide to various fashion audiences with new creative ideas for muslimah women to enjoy. Every year new trends will come in to wow everyone and some may last for quite a while. However, if you are the type of individuals who love fashion but hardly have the time to research on new trends, here are some to give you some information about. Among the trending forecast of muslimah clothing fashion for 2015 could be seen as below.

1. Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses have been in the fashion industry since the early times and it is one which will never get lost in time. This is because maxi dresses have that versatile element which makes it perfect for women to flaunt to any places or occasions. Whether to work, a date, dinner parties or a casual day out running errands, maxi dresses will never make you look out of place. Besides that, it has that modest yet feminine touch that fits the Islamic image of women. Choose from the various stunning maxi dress designs available in the market and show it off with confidence.

2. Kebaya kimono

Kebaya kimono is a new fashion muslimah piece that definitely suits muslimah women of all ages. It could be serve as an outerwear for your top or act as a blouse. This kebaya kimono can be turned from formal to casual wear by simply mix matching with other pieces of clothing.

3.  Hijab styles

Another muslimah fashion trend which has been evolving and developing throughout the years are the multiple styles of hijabs. Muslimah women create various hijab looks to a more modern approach to fit their personality. Besides that, women who are thinking about changing their hijab looks can simply watch tutorials on Youtube.

Me and the Inner Balqis (Turban inner)

I've always been a fan of Sugarscarf since the started their business in 2009. It's either for window shop or to purchase. I've bought their first inner (u know yang layer2 tu), and I've loved it!

So when they came up with this new design, it was very intriguing . Especially after seeing Ms. Ami wears it. One word. Gorgeous!

I bought 3 colors all together, Black, Dark brown and dark Grey (play with the safest colors 1st) and received it last Friday. Only today I;ve got the chance to wear it.

What do you think?

Well I love it! It really elongate my face!

With my girl, Angie. She's leaving us today. Sob sob.

Had the last laugh.

So I've tried it, love it. Think I'm gonna buy few more colors :P

*thanks to Liza, my lovely photographer for the day :)

Hijab model (newbie)

This is actually the 1st time posting an entry from my phone. See how it turns out.

Anyway, we did a little shopping today. (don't we all love holidays?), i bought 2 shawl which i think is unique and not too odd for me to wear. It's sumthing like crumple shawl (is that what they call it?) , but i didn't get the chance to wear it yet. Luckily i have this model who without a doubt, the best model for this hijab.

What do you think?

I present to you, my most favourite outfit ever!

I've been stocking up my wardrobe with maxi skirts since the beginning of Ramadan. I'd say to myself, it is more appropriate to wear skirts than pants during that holy month. :P

But the buying didn't stop when the fasting month's over!

I started to grow my fondness towards maxi skirts ever since and everywhere I'd go, maxi skirt is a must item to look for!

However, finding the perfect skirt is not that easy. Some of it were too sheer or too short.

and when I saw this skirt , I knew it was love at 1st sight. It's perfect for me! Perfect length, thick material, perfect colour, heck perfect in every way!

I think I would buy another one or two. Just in case :P

The price? RM55 only. Murah bukan? :) Found it at a local store in one of the mall in Alor Setar. My hometown ;)

See? Great stuff doesn't have to cost a bomb! :D

Have a great weekend guys!!! I know I will!

What did I wear today?

This is not a fashion blog. Well, not entirely.
It happens that I ran out of idea on what to blog so I blogged about what I wore today! :D

Actually it's not really today. This photo was taken yesterday. I was thinking of updating it sometime later this week because I just blogged about an outfit on my previous post but I guess it won't hurt :P

I bought the kurta online and I'm loving it! I love the colours and cuts.
I didn't wear any make up pon in this photo. Saje edit bagi nampak pakai eyeshadow :P

omg... my legs look pretty skinny! dem.

I tucked my shawl inside of my top because of these gorgeous details on the neckline. Love it!

Check out their site. More designs and style for you to choose from :)

Celebrating Ramadhan in style

Forgive me for the title :P

So Ramadhan is here again. Feels like yesterday we were celebrating ramadhan when I was pregnant with Hariz. I didn't make it the whole 30 days unfortunately. I missed out 7 days to be exact because Hariz can't stand the hunger I guess :P

Wan and me are 2of those people who don't really sahur. We just woke up drinking plain water and kurma. As for me, I skipped the meal for sahur as it will only make me hungrier on the day. I've tried that before. I really need an explanation to this.Tsk.

Anyway, when I woke up this morning, I decided to put on my maxi dress and the new shoes I bought the other day.

What? Did  say new shoes? No I didn't. :P

I think I'm gonna start wearing more skirts & maxis especially during this ramadhan and so forth :)

I have massive collections of maxis bought when I was pregnant with Hariz. and hear this, ALL of them were purchased online!! See how fanatic I am on online shopping? *shaking head
And the shoes, well I can't buy the shoes online.Tsk. So unfortunate. Bought it at this shop in Perangin Mall, Penang. I think they bought it from one of the Korean Spree because I swear I've seen it online before. It's size 9 by the way. Slightly tight but it's expandable! Lucky me!

Happy Ramadhan guys!

Family portrait

Yesterday, while we were on our back from work, I had this sudden thoughts of taking photos of our little family.

me : honey, you pi jogging tak balik nanti?
wan : takk.. i nak main game :P
me : oloh... jom kita amik gambar.. kat depan umah jee... i dah pakai lawa-lawa dah nih :P

hahahha.. geli tak korang baca conversation tuh? hahaha...
tah naper.. tetiba ada mood nak amik gambar.
Then we picked Hariz up from nursery, he was asleep lah pulak.
Luckily he woke right after we arrived home.

My sis in law was at home so I asked her to help taking the photos :)
With few editing of course ;)

Enjoy!

Thanks for looking!
Have a nice day!

Lo and behold the massive collections of...

..my scarves!!!! :P

I got a little bit of free time last Sunday and decided to resume (yes resume because terstop sekejap due to certain things yang lebih penting like Hariz! :P) arranging my scarves collections to the new scarves hangers bought from IKEA during our last trip there.

I bought 2 of the holders and macam tak cukup! I divided into 2 parts. 1 for Tie Racks and plain scarves/shawls and another one is for patterned shawls.

 {TR collections}

I usually wear TR scarves (prefarably sateen) to work only and on special occasions. why? because malas nak berpin-pin :P Kalau pakai shawl tu, lilit je. :)

While I was busy with my little project, wan looked after Hariz and later, he too got a little project of himself.

 Paiting the stool :P
Yes I must admit, he is quite a handyman. Stool yang dah cantek tu pon, still nak paint. Takpela as long as dia gembira :)

Vintage Clothing

I'm not much of a vintage fan but sometimes the dresses or tops really nice. Like the one I bought here from Vintage Biri-Biri.

What do you guys think? Not bad huh?

Actually lately ni jadik kemaruk nak shopping sangat. I used to have this when I was pregnant with Hariz dulu. erk! no no no.. Saya bukan hamil lagi. No worries :P Maybe because I've lost my pregnancy weight kot and started to buy more clothes. Especially ones with buttons at front. Senang mau bagi susu :P

O ya... I love online shopping. It started back almost 3 years go. From then on, almost half of my wardrobe from online shopping ;) Why? because it's soo convenience! Save on petrol, parking and time! hehe.. Tapi tak semua la boleh shop online. Like pants and shoes. Susah woo. Baju ok lagi...

So tell me,  are you an online-shopaholic too?

The evolution of my hijab style

Looking back on all those years I've started wearing Hijab, I'm glad that I did evolve especially on style to fit the current trend.

I've started wearing hijab (not chipsmore ye), was when I was in 18. I love to try on different style. Some of them didn't fit me that well like what they call nowadays the Tudung Ariani tu. Muka ku akan nampak boolat.

Ade la a few style yang sudah ku cuba and sometimes still apply.

This style I call it Tudung Malas cause senang giler nak pakai and malas nak ber pin pin or lilit-lilit bagai. This was among the 1st style I adapted.
 l
This style, my gypsy gituu, wore it during travelling cause tak perlu iron juz tie it kat belakang. and no need to worry about tudung kelepet2.
This my favorite of all I've been applying it till now. I love it ! Sesuai for any occasion.

This tudung-petak-turn- to -shawl style normally I wore it to work only because leceh sket banyak pin. or maybe special occasion je.

How about you? Do have any unique way to style your scarf/shawl? Share with me!

New Year, New Shoes?

I was in need of a new handbag for me to go to work. I've been using the same handbag for the past 2 years even though I have a bunch of handbags at home. The reason? This bag is smaller and easy to stash it any where. Pegi meeting pon takde la susah nak letak mana-mana. (ceh alasan :P)

So I went to Charles & Keith yesterday nak usha-usha for handbags. Skali tersangkut with this shoes. Actually I did have a plan to buy new shoes. For work jugak (alasan lagik).  Since dah terjumpa, might as well beli terus kan? :P

But I think this wedge is a bit too high for me. I'd pefer 1-2 inch high je. Tinggi-tinggi ni susah sket for me nak jalan laju-laju coz if you see me walking, you'd say I was doing the brisk walk for Olympic :P

Tinggikan? Huhuhuhu... tapi this one sangat selesa and they have my size! which is 41 :P It's just that I have to jalan mcm Geisha takot terkehel lagi.

Let's play dress up!

I know some of you have heard of Polyvore where you can play dress up. Be your own stylist. It's something like playing dress up with your Barbie when we were little. I'm sure every one has at least one Barbie right? I had so much fun just playing with my Barbie in my own room, talking to myself and couldn't care less of what happening around me :P

What if I say I can now play dress up with my Barbie again but online?! No kid! I just found this awesome website call Looklet. Try it! You will love it!

I've made 3 looks from the Looklet. What do you think?

Try your style now! and link me so we can share looks :P

This flats are made for walking

Okay, call me mengada, but I loooveeeeeee my shoe yang iniii!!!

Remember this entry? This shoe got lost at the mall because of me being sooo careless. but i can't help it because of it's comfiness ( is that a word?), and I went to Croc's again to buy the same shoe and it's totally worth it! Siap lompat-lompat because sangat selesa. This is the problem with the big feet. Susah nak cari kasut. Once I found the most comfortable one, sangat happy!!!

FYI, I love Crocs! Some of you may say Crocs tak cantik or design ntah hape hape, but to me, without Crocs, I'd still be wearing sandals or selipar Jepun. Even my whole family is a Crocs fan. Including my mom and dad. Up to date, I have 3 pairs of Crocs and they never let me down.

I always looking forward for their new design in store. I love Hanalei too but they only had size 9 as their biggest but I think it's s smaller cut and unfortunately I can't fit in them. If they do have bigger size, I would love to get in this color.
